Internal 64-bit signal processing is designed to preserve fine details and dynamic nuances even at low volumes. Five drivers per speaker and the new Torus tweeter
Instead of a classic 2-way monitor, Cambridge uses five drivers per speaker. Two 5-inch mid-bass drivers operate in a 2.5-way configuration; one faces forward, and the other faces downward into a metal base that makes the speaker appear to float. Two six-inch passive radiators on the sides reinforce the bass and are color-matched to the cabinet so they’re barely noticeable.
At the heart of the design is the Torus tweeter, a new 28-mm metal dome with a waveguide. The eponymous ring-shaped rear chamber tapers inward, absorbing rear sound energy and thereby reducing reflections and harmonic distortion.
