The new Cannondale Compact Neo e-bike is particularly space-saving and lightweight, but still offers a battery that is supposed to provide a range of 75 kilometers. With its small size, the e-bike is particularly suitable for use in the city.
Cannondale Compact Neo presented
The compact city e-bike Cannondale Compact Neo has a lot to offer. It relies on a robust frame, a hidden battery and 20-inch tires, which should make the e-bike particularly maneuverable. At 18 kg, the weight is comparatively low.
The bike itself is also compact and can easily be taken into an elevator. For example, the handlebars can also be turned in completely, while the pedals can be folded.
In terms of features, the manufacturer also does not skimp. Lights, mudguards, a rear luggage rack and large, grippy tires are standard. The hub motor provides up to 250 watts, the battery integrated into the frame comes to 250 watt-hours and should allow a range of up to 75 km.
In addition, there are microSHIFT gears with eight gears, hydraulic 160/160 mm disc brakes from Tektro and many other high-quality components.
Price and availability
The Cannondale Compact Neo compact city e-bike is now available for pre-order directly from the manufacturer at a suggested retail price of $1,900. If and when the e-bike will also make it to Europe is currently unclear.
With the quite affordable Magmove 700C or the Strøm Bikes City M 2.0, for example, there would be two exciting, albeit larger, alternatives. Manufacturer Vanpowers Bike, on the other hand, offers a whole range of e-bikes, including the Commuter, which is designed for urban use.
