On the occasion of this year’s CES, Dell presented, among other things, a new mouse and a new input set consisting of keyboard and mouse.

MS7421W: Battery-powered mouse

With the MS7421W, Dell introduces a new battery-powered mouse that is supposed to score, among other things, with an exceptionally long battery life of up to six months with an exceptionally short charging time of only three hours. The device is primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at professional users. The mouse is operated via a Bluetooth 5.0 or 2.4 GHz connection. It measures 101.76 millimeters in length, 61.88 millimeters in width and 35.44 millimeters in height, weighs 80 grams and is equipped with seven buttons. The resolution can be adjusted in four stages via software – settings of 1,000, 1,600, 2,400 and 4,000 DPI are possible. It is further equipped with optical switches and a mechanical mouse wheel.

KM7321W: Input set consisting of keyboard and mouse

Besides that, Dell presented a new input set consisting of a keyboard and a mouse. The keyboard belonging to the set can be placed at angles of six and ten degrees, has scissor-action keys and is equipped with three multimedia keys. It also has programmable function keys. It is operated via a Bluetooth 5.0 or 2.4 GHz connection. The mouse, which is also part of the set, has seven buttons, five of which are programmable, and offers resolutions of either 1,000, 1,600, 2,400 or 4,000 DPI. Like the keyboard, it connects via Bluetooth 5.0 or 2.4 GHz.

The manufacturer particularly emphasizes that the input set can be connected to up to three devices simultaneously, which is supposed to set it apart from similar input sets.

Pricing and Availability

In the U.S., the products are expected to be available before the end of January. In Europe, the mouse is scheduled to go on sale on March 18. Prices are $70 for the mouse and $100 for the input set.
