CES 2022 as an attendance fair with mandatory vaccination

CES will take place in 2022 as a presence trade show. The event is planned for January 5. All visitors must provide proof of immunization to attend.

The Consumer Technology Association, as the organizer of CES, has decided to host next year’s show in Las Vegas and admit both male and female visitors. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 as a result of the event, proof of vaccination must be provided to be admitted. However, in addition to the on-site trade show, there will also be a larger online offering. This should also be the organizer’s response to the fact that it is still unclear who will be able to enter the U.S. without major problems in January of next year. The regulations in this regard may well change several times before the start of the trade fair, depending on the infection situation.

For visitors who are not residents of the USA, the purchase of tickets will thus remain economically risky: At the moment, people who have been in a Schengen state for the last fortnight are not allowed to enter the USA. Since the infection figures have increased rapidly recently, it is not expected that the rules will be relaxed in the near future.
