HARMAN will of course also be represented at CES 2023 in Las Vegas with its sub-brand JBL and will be showing some exciting new products. These include the JBL Bar 1300, a soundbar equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound, and the new JBL Quantum series gaming headsets for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
JBL Bar 1300: 11.1.4. channel sound bar
JBL unveils the JBL Bar 1300, a soundbar that aims to deliver true cinema sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound through its detachable wireless surround speakers. It positions itself above the Bar 1000 and the other models the manufacturer introduced in October 2022.
Through 15 channels, the soundbar realizes true wireless home theater sound. In addition to HARMAN’s unique MultiBeam technology, the JBL Bar 1300’s six upward-firing drivers create an immersive sound experience for true Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D surround sound.
Here, the surround speakers are detachable and wireless, and are linked to the 10-inch subwoofer, which is also wireless. The two detachable satellites are battery-powered and can simply be placed behind you when needed, all without the need for pesky cables or additional power outlets. What’s more, the detachable speakers can be connected to any Bluetooth device for use as standalone speakers.
The JBL Bar 1300 builds on the JBL Bar series and features HARMAN’s PureVoice technology. This is intended to improve the speech intelligibility of dialogues in movies or games with the help of a specially developed algorithm.
The soundbar can also be connected to online music streaming services or other compatible speakers via Wi-Fi. The JBL One app lets you browse through the different services, while you can also influence the sound via equalizer.
The Bar 1300 can also be operated via voice control and offers the option of streaming your favorite music via Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, for example. The soundbar also allows access to over 300 online music streaming services via AirPlay 2, Alexa Multi-Room Music (MRM) and Chromecast built-in.
