CES 2023 HP news: Manufacturer unveils new notebooks, peripherals and more

At CES 2023, currently taking place in Las Vegas, HP has officially unveiled a slew of new products and solutions for hybrid working, as well as gaming notebooks. There are also in-ear headphones, a webcam and mouse, and an OMEN Gaming Hub for cloud gaming. We have an overview of all CES 2023 HP news.

The CES 2023 HP novelties at a glance

Manufacturer HP is traveling to CES 2023 with a whole plethora of innovations, which primarily concern the hybrid working world and the gaming sector. Among them, for example, new notebooks such as the HP Dragonfly G4, the HP EliteBook 1040 G10 and the HP Elite x360 1040 G10, which are equipped with HP Presence.

For example, they feature new intuitive features that can be useful in video conferencing:

Multi-Camera Experience supports two video streams and camera switching, allowing users to show their face and an object or whiteboard simultaneously as picture-in-picture or side-by-side. The new Commercial PCs are the world’s first business notebooks to support simultaneous use of two cameras.
Auto Camera Select uses intelligent face tracking to detect which camera a user is looking into, ensuring that listeners do not lose eye contact.
HP Keystone Correction simplifies whiteboard or physical document sharing by automatically cropping and compressing images from the camera feed with a single click.
With HP Be Right Back, users can convert their video feed to a still image without interrupting the meeting.

In addition, there are smart features designed to optimize performance and power consumption. Intelligent Hibernate learns the PC usage patterns, in the process, the device should be able to automatically go into hibernation mode at the end of a workday to minimize battery consumption.

“Over time, the PC can predict when a user typically uses the device the next day and switch to standby mode to turn the device on immediately,” according to the manufacturer.

Smart Sense, on the other hand, optimizes the PC’s thermal performance using artificial intelligence. Thus, the notebook should be able to work quieter and cooler and still retrieve the necessary performance.

CES 2023 HP innovations: New HP E-Series G5 and M-Series monitors

With screen sizes ranging from 21.5- to 44.5-inches and a sleek design, the HP E-Series G5 monitors fit seamlessly into the home office or office. The series supports hybrid work models with a variety of features.

For the first time within the product line, this includes 4K resolutions on select models, as well as Curved and Ultrawide displays, 99 percent sRGB color gamut coverage and matching accessories. HP Eye Ease reduces blue screen light pollution and an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness.

The HP E45c G5 monitor is the world’s first 45-inch super ultrawide dual-QHD curved monitor and offers a more immersive viewing experience. All monitors in this series are made from up to 90 percent recycled and renewable materials, such as coffee grounds and recycled aluminum.

The HP M24h and M27h FHD monitors offer improved ergonomics, according to the manufacturer, and come with a convenient setup guide through the integrated display software.

Poly Voyager Free 60 Series: new in-ear headphones

Among the CES 2023 HP innovations are in-ear headphones. Based on the powerful Poly audio technology, HP introduces wireless earbuds with the Poly Voyager Free 60 series. They are said to be capable of convincing sound quality and allow up to five hours of talk time with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) and WindSmart technology to block out distracting background noise.

The standard version includes a charging case that provides ten additional hours of talk time, while the Poly Voyager Free 60+ also comes with a smart charging case. This features an OLED touchscreen display with easy access to volume and mute functions, and provides insight into battery life and call status, as well as a 3.5mm analog input that can be paired with, for example, an airplane or other analog audio sources.

The Poly Lens mobile app lets users personalize Poly device settings, and IT teams can collect and manage insights to do so.

New webcam and mouse

Also new from HP is the Zoom-certified FHD (1080p) HP 620/625 webcam, which also features dual noise-canceling microphones, a customizable field of view, and additional features such as autofocus, AI face detection, and backlight enhancement.

The webcam has an infrared sensor (IR), which enables Windows Hello, and is made of 71 percent recycled plastic.

The HP 710 Rechargeable Silent Mouse comes in a particularly compact form factor, allowing for quiet clicks and is said to have a battery life of up to 90 days. With six programmable buttons for custom key combinations, you can customize the operation freely and work seamlessly with multi-OS compatibility across three stored devices. The device is made of 60 percent recycled plastic.

Focus on sustainability

The manufacturer proves that sustainability is very important to HP in all newly introduced products. In addition, however, there are more notebooks or AiO PCs that follow this endeavor even further.

The HP 14-inch laptop – Eco Edition sets new standards in sustainability with up to 25 percent recycled plastics. Bio-recyclable materials such as used cooking oil were used for the bottom cover of the device.

Materials such as recycled coffee grounds were used for the frames of the HP 24- and 27-inch all-in-one PCs, making them HP’s most sustainable all-in-one PCs to date. More than 40 percent of the chassis is made from recycled plastics, 75 percent of the arm stand is made from recycled aluminum, and the stand is made entirely from recycled polyester. Fully recyclable packaging has also been further downsized to reduce the carbon footprint.

HP Omen Gaming Hub unveiled

New for gamers is the OMEN Gaming Hub as a cloud gaming solution with integrated NVIDIA GeForce Now. With this addition, gamers around the world can play over 1,450 titles from AAA to indie in a premium cloud gaming service, regardless of their PC.

My Games and OMEN Optimizer also provide direct access to local games, while Optimizer is designed to improve the image quality and frame rate of games.

OMEN 17 and new OMEN desktops

The OMEN 17 laptop is HP’s most powerful gaming laptop, according to the manufacturer, with a 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13900HX processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 graphics card technology, which uses OMEN Tempest cooling technology for desktop-level gaming. The OMEN 17 laptop also continues to offer optional keyboards with optical mechanical keys that are 25 times faster than traditional keys.

The OMEN 40L and 45L desktops set new performance benchmarks with the 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13900K processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, enabling brilliant 4K imaging and high frame rates for competitive gaming.

The 45L offers more headroom for processor overclocking thanks to the OMEN Cryo Chamber – a patented CPU cooling solution with a separate all-in-one liquid cooler. The OMEN 25L desktop also gets an upgrade with the latest 13th generation Intel Core processors , so games run faster than ever.

The whole plethora of new products HP unveiled at CES 2023 will be released later in 2023. Details are available on the manufacturer’s website. A final price has not yet been set for all products, though the manufacturer does provide the following details of the CES 2023 HP innovations:
