The demands on modern networks are increasing rapidly – whether in the home office, for cloud gaming or when traveling. Acer is responding to this trend and is expanding its connectivity portfolio with four powerful devices just in time for the start of 2026. With the introduction of Wi-Fi 7 and the latest 5G technology, the manufacturer aims to eliminate dead spots and provide maximum bandwidth for smart homes and mobile users. The new lineup promises more stable connections and extremely low latency for a variety of application scenarios.
- Wi-Fi 7 standard: The new routers support multi-link operation (MLO), allowing devices to communicate simultaneously across multiple frequency bands.
- 5G for stationary gaming: The Predator Connect X7S offers downlink rates of up to 4.67 Gbit/s and serves as a fully-fledged fiber optic replacement.
- Mesh power for the whole house: The Ovia series uses mesh technology to cover areas of up to 110 m² per node and can be flexibly expanded.
Predator Connect X7S: The new benchmark for gaming networks
At the heart of the announcement is the Predator Connect X7S 5G CPE, which has been specially developed for users who do not want to compromise on speed. The device combines the new Wi-Fi 7 tri-band standard (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz) with a powerful 5G connection. Especially in locations where fast fiber is not available, the router offers a real alternative with up to 4.67 Gbit/s in the downlink. By integrating the Intel Killer Prioritization Engine, data traffic is intelligently controlled: latency-sensitive applications such as online games are automatically given priority over background downloads, which effectively minimizes jerks and delays.

The technical features impress with their flexibility. The X7S uses nano-SIM-based 5G or 4G LTE and has several antennas for optimum signal reception. If the mobile connection should ever fluctuate, the system can seamlessly switch to a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet WAN connection as a backup. This ensures uninterrupted connectivity for the entire smart home. Thanks to Wi-Fi 7 speeds of up to 5,764 Mbps and the use of MLO, the responsiveness of the network is drastically increased as data packets can be distributed in parallel across different bands.
Smart networking and mobility without limits
Acer is introducing the Ovia series for comprehensive coverage in homes and offices. The Connect Ovia T360 (dual-band) and the T520 (tri-band) also rely on Wi-Fi 7. While the T360 is ideal for smaller apartments up to 90 m², the T520 also offers the 6 GHz band and a range of 110 m² per node. These devices work together in a mesh network to enable seamless roaming – so you can move freely through the house while the end device automatically switches to the strongest access point without losing the connection. The minimalist design of the routers ensures that they blend unobtrusively into modern living environments without sacrificing high-speed LAN ports for consoles or PCs.
The Acer Connect M4D 5G Mobile Wi-Fi is the perfect companion for those on the move. This compact hotspot shares its 5G connection with up to 16 devices simultaneously via Wi-Fi 6. With a battery life of up to 15 hours, it lasts a full working day. A special feature is the support of eSIM and virtual SIM profiles, which makes it much easier to switch between providers when traveling abroad. The mobile hotspot can also be transformed into a stationary router using the docking station supplied. All devices are managed centrally via the Acer Connect app, which brings functions such as parental controls, VPN support and guest access directly to the smartphone.

Conclusion
With the expansion of its portfolio, Acer is setting the course for the next generation of connectivity. The combination of Wi-Fi 7 and 5G offers both stationary and mobile performance that puts conventional solutions in the shade. In particular, the integration of security features such as WPA3 and simple app control make the technology accessible even to less experienced users. The products are due to be released in the course of 2026; Acer has not yet announced prices.
