CES 2026: LG Sound Suite – The world’s first soundbar system with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect

At CES 2026, LG Electronics is sending a clear signal for the future of home theater: With the LG Sound Suite, the company is presenting the first modular audio system based entirely on Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. At the center is the new LG H7 soundbar, which offers an immersive audio experience with its intelligent sound concept – without complicated setup or room-dependent restrictions. Thanks to flexible configuration, wireless networking and AI-supported sound optimization, LG takes home cinema to a new level.

  • World’s first soundbar with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect
  • Up to 27 possible system configurations with wireless components
  • AI Sound Pro+ with object separation for precise sound
  • New functions: Sound Follow with UWB technology and Room Calibration Pro

Revolution in the living room: flexible, intelligent audio

With the LG Sound Suite, LG is responding to a key trend in consumer electronics: high-quality, uncomplicated and adaptive sound systems that reproduce streaming content in full quality. While physical media is increasingly disappearing, home theater sound solutions are experiencing a renaissance thanks to streaming platforms with Dolby Atmos. The LG Sound Suite is the perfect counterpart – a system that brings cinema quality into the living room, but with the flexibility of modern, wireless technologies.

The central component, the LG H7 soundbar, is the first model to integrate the new Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This system analyzes the spatial structure of the living room and automatically adjusts the sound – no matter where speakers are placed. The result is an immersive surround experience without the hassle of calibration or cabling. The soundbar is also compatible with any TV via HDMI, not just LG models. In combination with the optional M7 and M5 surround speakers and the W7 subwoofer, up to 27 different configurations can be realized, from compact 2.1 setups to full 13.1.7-channel systems.

AI, room intelligence and Sound Follow technology

One of the key innovations is the Sound Follow function developed by LG, which is based on Ultra-Wideband (UWB). It recognizes the location of the audience and dynamically shifts the acoustic “sweet spot” there – ideal for situations in which several people are using the room at the same time. This feature is complemented by Room Calibration Pro, which uses AI room measurement to analyze acoustic reflections and automatically make corrections to ensure even sound distribution.

Inside the soundbar is the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, which is already used in LG’s latest OLED televisions. This powerful processing unit uses neural networks to precisely break down sounds and convert stereo signals into true multi-channel surround with the help of AI Sound Pro+. Voices, music and effects are clearly separated from each other, making the audio experience much more realistic and room-filling.

All components of the Sound Suite use Peerless speaker units, which are known for their exceptional sound quality and durability. This combination of hardware excellence and intelligent software marks a step towards the next generation of home theater – a seamlessly connected, personalized audio system that flexibly adapts to room acoustics and user habits.

Dolby Atmos FlexConnect – the new standard for immersive audio

The heart of the system, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, defines how surround sound will be experienced in the future. Instead of having to position speakers precisely, FlexConnect uses sensor technology and acoustic analysis to calculate the optimum sound distribution and automatically tunes all channels. Whether small living rooms or large open spaces – every setup benefits from a tailor-made sound profile. Dolby itself emphasizes that this technology makes “immersive audio accessible to all” – without the complexity of conventional home cinema systems.

LG is also bringing Dolby Atmos FlexConnect to its 2026 premium TV models – and to selected 2025 devices via a software update. In doing so, the company is opening up the system to a wider user base that values both simplicity and performance.

Conclusion

With the Sound Suite and the world’s first soundbar system with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, LG is presenting a true innovation in the home theater segment at CES 2026. The modular design, combined with AI, UWB technology and high-quality acoustics, makes surround sound more accessible and personalized than ever before. Pricing and availability of the LG Sound Suite will be announced during the first quarter of 2026, while the first demo versions can already be experienced at the show in Las Vegas.
