CES 2026: Segway Navimow presents new generation of intelligent robotic mowers

At CES 2026, Segway Navimow is impressively demonstrating just how far automated lawn care has come. With no fewer than five new product series, the manufacturer is significantly expanding its portfolio and will cover almost every application scenario in future – from small private gardens to professionally maintained green spaces. The focus is clearly on more comfort, greater precision and intelligent navigation. Modern sensor technology, powerful all-wheel drives and particularly easy installation are designed to further automate lawn care and make it more reliable than ever before.

  • Five new series for private and commercial lawns
  • Installation without boundary wire or external antennas
  • Advanced navigation with RTK, LiDAR and AI
  • Improved traction and lawn-friendly maneuvers

Segway Navimow relies on intelligent navigation and simple installation

A key feature of the new Segway Navimow robotic mowers is the consistent simplification of commissioning. All new models support a so-called “drop-and-mow” installation, which requires neither boundary wires nor reference antennas. Instead, the devices use multimodal navigation technologies to precisely detect their surroundings from the very first use. The technologies used include network RTK, visual SLAM methods and high-precision solid-state LiDAR sensors.

The close integration of these technologies is particularly noteworthy. Depending on the model, position data from several sources is combined in order to navigate reliably even under difficult conditions. Narrow passages, shady areas under trees or mowing in poor light conditions are no longer an obstacle. The collaboration with sensor specialist RoboSense underlines the claim to bring next-generation LiDAR technology to the garden.

In addition to precise orientation, dealing with obstacles also plays an important role. The new Navimow models detect objects as small as one centimeter and distinguish between more than 200 obstacle types. These include not only fixed objects, but also moving objects such as animals. This intelligent obstacle avoidance ensures safe operation and minimizes interruptions during the mowing process. The system is supplemented by automatic mapping and realistic 3D representations of the garden, which allow the mowing zones to be conveniently adjusted.

New model series for every lawn and every requirement

With the X4 series, Segway Navimow is targeting owners of large and demanding properties. The X430 and X450 models can handle areas of up to 6,000 square meters and rely on the lawn-friendly Xero-turn™ all-wheel drive technology. This enables gradients of up to 84 percent and, thanks to intelligent torque control, ensures a secure grip without leaving tracks. A powerful double mowing deck and a fast loading system ensure high efficiency even in dense grass.

The i2 series brings advanced technology to small and medium-sized gardens. The i2 AWD is the only all-wheel drive robot mower in its class and impresses with improved traction and longer running time. In addition, the i2 LiDAR expands the portfolio with a model specially designed for complex gardens. With high-resolution LiDAR detection and AI-supported image recognition, it navigates reliably even in confusing environments and creates detailed 3D maps of the terrain.

The H2 series was developed for particularly winding plots of land. It combines LiDAR, RTK and image processing in a triple fusion navigation system that compensates for changes in position almost instantaneously. Gradients of up to 45 percent, precise obstacle detection and automatic mapping make this series a versatile solution for demanding private gardens.

With the Terranox series, Segway Navimow is finally addressing the professional sector. These models are designed for continuous use in commercial areas and can be managed centrally via the Fleet™ management software. This allows multiple devices to be efficiently controlled and monitored, making lawn care in a professional environment much easier.
