CHERRY KW 920 Mini: New wireless keyboard in compact layout

CHERRY has introduced a new space-saving mechanical keyboard. With its slim design, the CHERRY KW 920 Mini is said to be particularly suitable for a mobile lifestyle and combines premium quality with first-class features.

The CHERRY KW 920 Mini in detail

Measuring just 29.5 cm x 12.9 cm x 1.6 cm, the CHERRY KW 920 Mini is designed to cut a fine figure as a mobile companion on the go. Despite the compact layout, which, among other things, does without a number pad and displays the arrow keys compressed in the layout of a notebook, the manufacturer promises the features of a full-size keyboard.

For example, special functions like picture control or volume control can be accessed by pressing the FN key. Multimedia functions like play/pause and track selection can also be selected. If desired, the additional functions can also be set permanently via the FN key.

The KW 9200 Mini can be connected to almost any device. It can be connected via two Bluetooth 5.0 channels, via 2.4 GHz radio using the included dongle or directly via USB cable.

Via Bluetooth, even two devices can be paired simultaneously, between which can be quickly switched at the touch of a button.

CHERRY SX scissor action and ergonomics

The CHERRY KW 920 Mini relies on the manufacturer’s SX scissor action, which is said to provide a comfortable and quiet typing experience while also increasing the keyboard’s longevity. More than 10 million actuations per key are said to be possible.

In addition, the laptop-like keys are slightly concave, so that the fingers glide smoothly and without fatigue over the keys even during longer use. Thanks to non-slip feet, the keyboard can also be placed safely on the go, while a built-in metal plate increases stability.

CHERRY also promises a long battery life thanks to the integrated battery, but doesn’t go into detail about how long the KW 920 Mini is supposed to last. At least, however, there is a battery level indicator that provides information about the runtime.

Price and Availability

The CHERRY KW 920 Mini compact mobile keyboard will be available from the CHERRY Shop and retailers from the 12th calendar week. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 84.99 euros. The scope of delivery includes the keyboard, a carrying bag, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and an extra small USB dongle for wireless operation.
