Chipolo Pop: Smart Bluetooth tracker for Android and iOS

With the Chipolo Pop, the Slovenian manufacturer is launching a colorful, compact and cross-platform alternative to Apple’s AirTags. The new device can be used with both iPhones and Android smartphones – and relies on the network infrastructure of Apple and Google. Chipolo is thus expanding its portfolio with a particularly accessible and affordable Bluetooth tracker that makes lost items easier to find.

  • Supports both the Apple “Where is?” network and the new Google Find My Device
  • Compact, lightweight and available in different colors
  • Replaceable battery with a service life of up to two years
  • Cost at market launch: less than 30 euros each

Compatible with two networks simultaneously

One of the biggest innovations of the Chipolo Pop is the simultaneous support of two major location networks: Apple’s “Where is?” service and Google’s newly rolled out “Find My Device” network. Users can choose which version they need at the time of purchase – either for the Apple or Android ecosystem. Technically, the models are different, but the design is identical.

In combination with iPhones, the Chipolo Pop uses the huge “Where is?” community, which comprises billions of devices worldwide. Android users will benefit from Google’s growing network, which is able to locate lost objects even if they are outside the Bluetooth range of their own smartphone. This makes Pop a real alternative to established trackers such as AirTag or Tile – and across all platforms.

Design suitable for everyday use and long battery life

The Chipolo Pop measures just 38 mm in diameter and is only 6.4 mm thick – compact enough to be easily attached to a key ring, rucksack or luggage. The housing is splash-proof and available in several eye-catching colors, including yellow, blue, green, pink and black. This makes the tracker not only functional, but also visually easy to integrate into everyday life.

Inside is a replaceable button cell battery (CR2032) which, according to the manufacturer, offers a battery life of up to two years. If the battery runs out, it can be easily replaced – an advantage over many competitor products where the battery is permanently installed. The loudspeaker function is also useful: the Chipolo Pop can emit an acoustic alarm to help locate lost objects more quickly.

Conclusion

The Chipolo Pop expands the range of Bluetooth trackers with a flexible and user-friendly model that is suitable for both iOS and Android users. With its support for two major networks, long battery life and eye-catching design, it positions itself as a practical solution for anyone who regularly misplaces objects. The unit price is 35 euros – an attractive entry into the world of smart location aids. Delivery starts on April 17.
