Clicks Communicator: back-to-basics with Android 16

The Clicks Communicator is reminiscent of classic BlackBerry smartphones, but combines modern hardware and software. Equipped with Android 16, an integrated 50 MP main camera and 24 MP front camera, as well as a physical SIM and eSIM slot, the device primarily serves as a secondary communication device. Users can manage emails, text messages and voice recordings via the Communicator, while the actual everyday smartphone operation remains on the main device.

The keyboard is click-based and touch-sensitive, so you can navigate through messages without touching the screen. A 3.5 mm headphone jack, expandable MicroSD memory and a flight mode switch round off the functional features. The Communicator measures 131.5 mm in height, weighs 170 grams and comes in three understated colors with interchangeable back plates at launch. The pricing includes an early bird price of USD 299, while the regular RRP is USD 499.

Focus on productivity and minimalism

Both products have a clear goal: to minimize distraction and promote productive work. While today’s smartphones are often dominated by social media apps and notifications, the Communicator allows targeted communication without constant interruptions. The Power Keyboard complements this philosophy by providing physical keys for secure and fast typing without having to rely on large devices.

With these devices, Clicks Technology combines retro design with modern features that appeal to both classic keyboard fans and mobile professionals. The combination of physical keyboard, modular hardware and supporting software delivers a unique productivity experience.

Conclusion

The Clicks Communicator and the Clicks Power Keyboard offer innovative solutions for focused work on mobile devices. While the Communicator is a compact secondary smartphone for email, messaging and telephony, the Power Keyboard adds a reliable, magnetic typing experience to existing devices. With early bird prices of USD 299 for the Communicator and USD 79 for the Keyboard, the products are available for pre-order now and are scheduled to ship from spring 2026.
