Cooler Master introduces new gaming and work furniture

Now the time has finally come. Cooler Master also deals with gaming furniture. The manufacturer not only tries to make gamers happy with its Hybrid 1 chair and the two GD120 ARGB and GD160 ARGB tables. By its own account, Cooler Master makes sure that the furniture is suitable for both gaming sessions and the home office.

Practical all-rounder furniture

Cooler Master is targeting a lucrative niche with its gaming furniture. According to the company’s own statements, the tables and chair are namely intended to be used for working during the day and for gaming sessions in the evening. This is a clever move considering the currently increasing number of home office workers. The design already shows that Cooler Master wants to meet both demands equally. The gaming chair called “Hybrid 1” is by no means an overly flashy piece of furniture.

Contrary to the usual design, the discreet lettering in the purple design seems almost well-behaved. At the user’s back, the special MuscleFlex mesh stretches over the high-quality metal frame. This is not only to ensure good ventilation of the back, but also to enable comfortable sitting on top of that. As befits a good gaming or desk chair, the Hybrid 1 should also be able to convince in terms of ergonomics. In addition to an adjustable backrest, which can be tilted up to 180 degrees, the lumbar support can also be easily adjusted. To prevent pain in the backside, Cooler Master also relies on a padding made of cold-formed foam.

In addition to the Hybrid 1, Cooler Master is also looking to launch two tables. At first glance, the two tables differ from each other only in terms of width. While the GD160 ARGB comes in a width of 160 cm, the GD120 ARGB offers a little less space with a width of 120 cm. In terms of depth, both tables are set at 75 cm. But not only the width is different. In contrast to the GD120 ARGB, the GD160 ARGB can also be adjusted in height. Thanks to the two integrated motors, the height can be easily and continuously adjusted between 65 cm and 130 cm. This makes it possible to work while standing, which is easy on the back. A particularly practical feature is that different heights can be stored and called up at the touch of a button. With the GD120 ARGB, on the other hand, you have to settle for a fixed height of 74 cm.

Otherwise, both tables are pretty much identical in design. Here, Cooler Master relies on a black table surface. Nice contrasts are offered by the edge areas, which are made of silver-colored aluminum. As with the Hybrid 1, a down-to-earth design is also apparent here. As soon as you want something more eye-catching, you can easily turn on the tables’ ARGB lighting. These run in the form of light strips along the edges of the tables. With the help of the special MasterPlus+ software, custom setup is possible.

Price and availability

The Hybrid 1 and the two tables are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2021. In the U.S., the chair for gaming and work is expected to cost $499. For the GD120 ARGB and GD160 ARGB tables, Cooler Master is calling for $319 and $849, respectively.
