With the V4 Alpha 3DHP Black, Cooler Master has introduced a new generation of CPU air coolers equipped with the company’s own 3D Heat Pipe (3DHP) technology. This innovation is designed to enable significantly more efficient heat dissipation and is aimed at users who expect maximum performance and quiet operation in equal measure.
- 3DHP technology optimizes heat transfer with fewer heat pipes
- Copper base for maximum contact surface and heat conduction
- Two Mobius-120 fans with quiet ring design
- Price: approx. 39 €, available in Europe
Revolution through 3D heat pipe technology
The real innovation of the V4 Alpha lies in the further development of the heat pipe structure. Cooler Master has replaced conventional designs with a three-dimensional system with a third end point and precision T-connection. This allows evaporation, condensation and reflux to take place more efficiently – with fewer pipes but higher cooling performance.

Inside the 3DHP heatpipes, a hybrid structure of sintered powder and grooved channels combines different surface textures, each optimized for specific phases of the cooling process. The result: faster heat absorption, better condensate return and more stable temperatures overall.
According to Matteo Stracciari, General Manager at Cooler Master, the new technology represents a paradigm shift:
“With 3DHP, it’s no longer the number of tubes that count, but the results: less heat, more reliability and lower noise – all in a single-tower design.”
Design meets function
Visually, the V4 Alpha 3DHP Black is based on the look of classic V-engines and combines this with the precision of modern technology. The cooler measures 133 × 114 × 161 mm (W × D × H) and is completely black – including a refined aluminum cover that blends harmoniously into current PC builds.
In contrast to many direct contact solutions, the copper base covers a larger area, which improves heat transfer between the CPU and heatpipes. Current Intel and AMD sockets are supported, and Cooler Master’s CryoFuze thermal paste is included in the scope of delivery, which uses nanoparticles to ensure particularly fine heat distribution.
Airflow is provided by two Mobius 120 fans:
- Front fan with up to 2,050 RPM and 107.2 m³/h (63.1 CFM)
- Rear fan with 1,850 RPM and 85.8 m³/h (50.5 CFM)
The ring blade design of the fans reduces high-frequency noise and ensures smooth, low-vibration operation – ideal for quiet gaming or workstation systems.
Conclusion: Strong performance at a fair price
With the V4 Alpha 3DHP Black, Cooler Master proves that classic air cooling still offers room for innovation. The 3DHP technology improves efficiency and durability, while the design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The cooler will be available throughout Europe, on different dates depending on the country, and costs around 39 euros. Cooler Master thus offers a powerful yet affordable solution for demanding systems – “Build to Endure, Styled to Inspire”. Further details can be found on the official website.
