CORSAIR FRAME 4000X RS & 4000D WOOD RS: New mid-tower cases focus on RGB and natural design

CORSAIR is expanding its modular FRAME series with two new mid-tower cases: the FRAME 4000X RS and the FRAME 4000D WOOD RS. Both models combine powerful cooling performance with different design approaches – from an eye-catching RGB look to a natural wooden front. The new generation is therefore aimed at users who value individualization, performance and modern PC design.

  • RGB front with 64 LEDs on the FRAME 4000X RS for customized lighting
  • Real wood front on the FRAME 4000D WOOD RS for a natural look and airflow
  • Support for up to 13 fans and multiple 360 mm radiators
  • Modular FRAME system for flexible customization and upgrades

CORSAIR FRAME 4000X RS: Focus on RGB and airflow

The CORSAIR FRAME 4000X RS is clearly aimed at users who want to showcase their PC visually. The centerpiece is the newly developed RGB flow front with a total of 64 integrated LEDs. These can be controlled directly via the +5V RGB header on the mainboard, meaning that no additional software solution is required. At the same time, the open structure of the front ensures efficient airflow – a decisive factor for high-performance systems.

The case is also well thought-out on the inside: a continuous side panel made of tempered glass allows a clear view of the installed hardware. The design is complemented by a compact power supply cover that neatly conceals cables and thus ensures a tidy overall appearance.

Four RS120 fans are installed ex works, making the system ready for immediate use. This configuration ensures a continuous airflow without additional investment. This makes the case particularly suitable for builds where the focus is equally on appearance and performance.

CORSAIR FRAME 4000D WOOD RS: Natural design meets performance

CORSAIR is taking a different approach with the FRAME 4000D WOOD RS. Instead of RGB, the focus here is on a high-quality front made from FSC-certified real wood. The choice between walnut (black) and oak (white) enables harmonious integration into modern living or working environments.

Despite the design focus, the cooling performance remains at a high level. The wooden front is combined with a mesh filter and designed to ensure optimum airflow. Four pre-installed RS120 fans – three at the front, one at the rear – ensure efficient and quiet cooling.

As with the 4000X RS, a glass side panel is also used here to make the hardware visible. The case supports modern motherboards with rear connections, which is particularly interesting for clean builds without visible cables.

Another highlight is the modular FRAME system: components such as front panels, I/O modules or mainboard trays can be replaced. In addition, the Infinirail™ system offers flexible fan mounting, while up to two 360 mm radiators can be installed simultaneously. A total of up to 13 fan slots are available – a value that easily supports even demanding high-end systems.

Conclusion: Versatile mid-tower with a clear design focus

With the FRAME 4000X RS and the FRAME 4000D WOOD RS, CORSAIR has sensibly expanded its case series with two different design approaches. While the 4000X RS (172.82 euros) impresses with RGB and show effect, the WOOD RS (160.47 euros) scores with its natural look and discreet elegance. Both models offer powerful cooling options and a high degree of modularity. The cases are available immediately.
