Corsair HS65: New surround gaming headset with SoundID

With the Corsair HS65, the manufacturer has introduced a new gaming headset that comes with surround sound and the new SoundID technology. It is also characterized by a particularly lightweight design and high wearing comfort.

Corsair HS65 introduced

With its lightweight, aluminum-reinforced construction and soft memory foam, the Corsair HS65 aims to be particularly comfortable to wear. Visually, the new headset has a few parallels to the excellent HS80 RGB Wireless (our review). However, the HD65 can only be used with a cable.

But then either via 3.5 mm jack or with the help of the USB adapter, which connects to the jack port. This allows the headset to offer numerous audio customization options as well as Dolby Audio on PC and Mac.

Sonarworks SoundID technology creates a personalized, ideal sound profile by making a quick, easy and intuitive assessment of individual preferences using sample audio clips. Connecting via USB also enables Dolby Audio 7.1 surround sound. Corsair promises “a similar highly personalized experience as a higher priced professional headphone.”

50mm drivers

The powerful sound in the Corsair HS65 is realized by individually tuned 50mm neodymium speaker drivers. An omnidirectional microphone picks up your voice loud and clear and features a flip-to-mute function, as well as headphone buttons for volume control.

In addition to PC, notebook and Mac, the HS65 is compatible with many platforms including PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices thanks to the 3.5mm jack connector. On the other hand, RGB lighting, as in the case of the more expensive HS80, has to be dispensed with.
