Creative Technology has introduced a new headset that is aimed primarily at office users. The Creative Chat USB. The noise-canceling microphone is supposed to be especially convincing in video conferences.
The specs of the Creative Chat USB
The new Creative Chat USB is a USB Type-C on-ear headset designed primarily for home office users. It features a noise-canceling boom microphone that can be turned off via a swivel function, along with automatic mute functions. It also relies on two-way noise reduction, which is part of Creative’s SmartComm Kits.
The SmartComms Kit offers a range of intelligent communication features, including automatic muting and two-way noise reduction, that work in conjunction with the Creative Chat USB’s built-in microphone. This simplifies online chat without cumbersome controls. Audio settings can be adjusted via the all-in-one Creative app.
Two 40 mm neodymium drivers are supposed to provide good sound, which are “far above the standard of the price range” according to the manufacturer. At the same time, the Creative Chat USB is quite easy to set up thanks to its broad compatibility with popular conferencing apps like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The headset weighs just 206 grams and comes with a 2.1-meter cable.
Using the Creative Chat USB inline remote control, additional settings can be made, including muting the microphone and using the playback and call functions. The LED indicator on the inline remote also shows the mute status at a glance. The headset also has a built-in microphone monitoring feature so you can hear how loud your voice is being transmitted.

The Creative Chat USB are available now at an MSRP of $49.99 on Creative.com.
