Creative Live! Mic M3: New microphone for gamers and streamers introduced

Creative has introduced the new Creative Live! Mic M3, a new USB microphone designed for gamers and streamers, as well as video conferencing, with a focus on professional recording quality.

Cardioid and omnidirectional microphone polar patterns

The Creative Live! Mic M3 is said to offer professional audio quality at a fair price, thanks to which the USB microphone can meet a wide range of requirements. For this, the manufacturer relies on a cardioid and omnidirectional microphone polar pattern, real-time microphone monitoring, and studio-quality recording resolution.

It is quick and easy to switch between the two polar patterns using the integrated rotary control when circumstances or requirements change. The forward-facing cardioid pattern makes it best suited for recording with only one person directly in front of the microphone – for example, when streaming a game. In contrast, the use of the omnidirectional polar pattern is always useful when sounds from different directions need to be captured evenly, as is the case with podcast recordings with several people, for example.

At the same time, the Mic M3 achieves up to 24-bit / 96 kHz recording quality. It features a dedicated mute button and real-time microphone monitoring that allows for delay-free adjustments during transmission. In addition, the device is equipped with a built-in headphone jack, a removable pop filter and an adjustable table stand.
