The CRKD ULT PRO is now available. CRKD’s new professional controller features magnetic TMR thumbsticks to prevent stick drift, a 1,000-Hz PC mode for exceptionally fast response times, and six additional programmable buttons. At launch, the controller is priced at 79.99 euros and is available in three editions for Nintendo Switch 2 | 1 or PC.

TL;DR: The ULT PRO combines TMR thumbsticks, Hall-effect triggers with two adjustable travel distances, a 1,000 Hz polling rate in PC wired mode, and six extra buttons in a single controller for Switch 2, PC, mobile devices, and smart TVs. Price: 79.99 euros (MSRP), available in three color variants.

What the CRKD ULT PRO Can Do

CRKD is best known for the Nitro Deck and various rhythm gaming accessories. With the ULT PRO, the manufacturer is now introducing a standalone, cross-platform pro controller that, according to the manufacturer, is explicitly designed based on feedback from the esports and professional gaming communities.

At its core are the new TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) thumbsticks. The magnetic sensor technology is designed to permanently prevent stick drift while offering greater precision than traditional mechanical potentiometer sticks or Hall-effect sticks, such as those found in the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro. It also features an optional “No Deadzone Mode” for even finer stick calibration.

Triggers, Buttons, and Accessories

The triggers use Hall-effect sensors and can be switched via a toggle between a short, distinct pressure point and a longer travel distance—independently for the left and right triggers. On the Switch 2, the triggers function as digital inputs; on a PC, they function as analog inputs. There are also six additional programmable buttons (four on the back, two on the shoulders), two four-way toggle buttons, and a turbo function for sustained fire.

If you want to customize your controller’s look or feel, you can swap out the stick caps and the D-pad. Both are sold separately and, according to CRKD, are also compatible with the recently released Nitro Deck 2.

Connectivity and 1000-Hz Mode

The ULT PRO connects to the Nintendo Switch 2 | 1, PC, smartphones, tablets, and select smart TVs via the included 2.4-GHz dongle, Bluetooth, or a USB-C cable. This is convenient for anyone who switches between the best Nintendo Switch games and a round on the PC. In wired PC mode, the controller supports a 1000 Hz polling rate, which is designed to enable tournament-ready, ultra-low-latency input. PlayStation and Xbox are not supported.

The free CRKD Companion app lets you configure button mapping, trigger behavior, stick sensitivity, and rumble intensity. Multiple profiles can be saved directly on the controller and switched in a flash using the platform slider. The app also registers the device in CRKD’s “True Collection System,” including its individual serial number.

Price, Editions, and Availability

The CRKD ULT PRO costs 79.99 euros (MSRP) and is now available in three versions:

  • ULT PRO Smoke Black Edition (Switch layout)
  • ULT PRO Smoke Black Edition (PC layout)
  • ULT PRO Pal Grey Edition (Switch layout)

The package includes the controller with a built-in battery, a charging station with a dongle compartment, the wireless dongle, and a USB-C cable. If you’re on the go without access to a power outlet, you can use standard AA batteries instead. An additional battery pack can be purchased separately and charged in parallel via hot-swap in the charging station’s hidden compartment.

Status: Now Available After Delays

The ULT PRO was originally announced for spring 2026. However, CRKD had to postpone the launch several times, citing pending certifications and testing procedures as the reason. In addition to the ULT PRO, the Nitro Deck 2 and the Atom+ Mini Controller were also affected. With the latest release announcement, the controller is now actually available and ready for shipment, just in time for the high-revenue winter season in the gaming retail market.

According to the manufacturer, accessories such as D-pad and stick top packs can be used with both the ULT PRO and the Nitro Deck 2, allowing CRKD to consistently unify its accessory ecosystem.

Conclusion

With TMR thumbsticks, switchable Hall-effect triggers, 1000-Hz PC mode, and six extra buttons, the CRKD ULT PRO positions itself as a feature-rich all-around controller for Switch 2 and PC—all at a fair price of 79.99 euros for this level of features. Anyone looking for a more affordable alternative to professional controllers like the Scuf Omega should keep an eye on the ULT PRO. A detailed review based on hands-on experience will follow as soon as a review unit is available.
