The sequel to Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed game “Death Stranding”, “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach”, will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025.

New characters and storyline
“Death Stranding 2: On the Beach” continues the story of Sam Bridges, played by Norman Reedus. Alongside Reedus, actors such as Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker return. New additions to the cast include Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and George Miller.
The story takes place eleven months after the founding of the United Cities of America. Sam now works for an organization called Drawbridge and travels through different landscapes, encountering familiar enemies and new allies, including a revived Lou.
Gameplay and features
The gameplay remains true to the original and focuses on exploration and hiking. However, new environmental effects and vehicles have been introduced to enhance the gameplay experience. The unique environment continues to revolve around the metaphysical concept of the “Beach”, a sort of afterlife dimension.
Pre-orders and editions
Pre-orders will be available from March 17, 2025. The Standard Edition costs 69.99 euros. The Digital Deluxe Edition for 79.99 euros and the Collector’s Edition for 249.99 euros offer additional content and grant early access to the game from June 24, 2025.
