Dell Technologies introduces 5 new monitors for mobile work

Dell Technologies has introduced a total of four five business monitors that are supposed to meet the changed requirements of everyday office life. Two models are specifically designed for the requirements of video conferencing, and two models convince with additional connectivity. In addition, there is a mobile 14-inch monitor, the C1422H.

High-resolution video conferencing

The new S2722DZ (27-inch, QHD) and S2422HZ (23.8-inch, Full HD) video conferencing monitors are designed to make virtual meetings with friends and family, as well as meetings with colleagues, easier.

They feature a 5-megapixel webcam embedded in the bezel, microphones with noise cancelling, and 5-watt speakers. The pop-up camera remains recessed in the monitor case until the user is actually ready for their meeting, which Dell hopes will provide additional security.

They feature TÜV-certified ComfortView Plus, which provides color fidelity while reducing blue light. Both displays connect to the PC via USB-C. AMD FreeSync synchronization technology and a refresh rate of 75 Hz ensure a good gaming experience.

Tidy connectivity and mobility

With the new 27-inch monitors with the model numbers S2722QC (4K UHD) and S2722DC (Full HD), Dell Technologies also wants to ensure a particularly tidy desk. Webcam, microphones and speakers are not installed here, but the USB-C port not only transmits video, audio and data. Connected devices can be charged with up to 65 watts. This turns the monitor into a USB and charging hub for laptops and smartphones without any tangled cables.

The fifth in the bunch is the 14-inch Dell C1422H mobile monitor. It allows working with two displays on the go, relies on a slim design and offers a weight of less than 500 grams. Once set up, the stand stabilizes the screen at an angle of 10 to 90 degrees.

The IPS display presents content in 16:9 format and has a Full HD resolution. The USB-C port allows users to easily connect the monitor to their laptop via plug-and-play. The ComfortView feature reduces the emission of blue light and is thus easy on the eyes. The brightness setting of up to 300 nits can be adjusted directly via buttons on the display. The portable display has also been awarded Energy Star and EPEAT-GOLD certification.

Pricing and Availability

The video conferencing monitors will be available from October 19, 2021 for an MSRP of 339.99 euros (S2422HZ) and 439.99 euros (S2722DZ), respectively. The two USB-C displays will already start retailing on September 19, 2021 for an MSRP of 419.99 euros (S2722QC) and 329.99 euros (S2722DC), respectively.

The Dell C1422H mobile monitor will be the first, and it will be available for 242.76 Euros from August 31, 2021.
