Diamant Zing Gen 2: Powerful e-bike comes in many variants

The Diamant Zing Gen 2 from Trek Bikes comes in a wide range of variants. In 2023, it is to go in twelve different variants to the start, the features of all models can be seen.

Trek Bikes is launching a new version of the Diamant Zing Gen 2. The 2023 edition of the e-bike is particularly rich in variants, because it is offered in a basic and a deluxe variant, with low, medium or high entry and additionally in three different sizes.

There are also two battery variants to choose from. With a capacity of 545 Wh or with 725 Wh – the latter increases the sales price by 300 euros.

The biggest difference between the basic and deluxe versions is the SR Suntour Mobie 34 fork with air suspension, which offers external adjustment of rebound and compression damping and 60 mm of suspension travel.

The rest of the features are also of a higher quality. The basic version, on the other hand, relies on a steel spring with adjustable spring preload and lockout. The deluxe version strikes thereby with 600 euros more to the book.

Strong features in all models

Across all model variants, the features of the Diamant Zing Gen 2 can be more than seen. Thus Trek Bikes relies on high-quality components, for example, from Shimano, tires from Schwalbe and a battery from Bosch in the form of the Bosch Powerpack 545 / 725 along with a pedal assist up to 25 km/h.

Also included is always a Herrmans H-Black MR4-E headlight with a brightness of 120 lumens. A MIK-compatible aluminum luggage rack and mudguards also come standard on the e-bikes, which weigh around 23 kg. The maximum permissible weight is 136 kg – including the rider.

Price and availability

The Diamant Zing Gen 2 can be pre-ordered in the shop of the manufacturer Trek Bikes, but is currently sold out online. It starts at a minimum of 3,399 euros for the basic features, a maximum of 4,499 euros for the deluxe model with a larger battery.
