With the DJI Lito series, the drone manufacturer is expanding its portfolio with two new models for entry-level aerial photography. The DJI Lito X1 and DJI Lito 1 complement the Neo 2 (our test) as well as the DJI Avata 360 for 360° users and combine modern camera technology, intelligent flight modes and a comprehensive safety system with comparatively low prices. The aim is to make high-quality aerial photography accessible without lengthy training – an approach that is becoming increasingly important, especially in the growing market for content creation.

  • 48 MP cameras with up to 8K photo and 4K video recording
  • Omnidirectional obstacle detection for greater flight safety
  • Intelligent flight modes such as ActiveTrack, QuickShots and Hyperlapse
  • Up to 36 minutes of flight time and stable connection via Wi-Fi 6

DJI Lito series offers powerful camera features and intelligent flight modes for beginners

The DJI Lito series clearly focuses on a combination of simple operation and powerful camera technology. Both models have 48-megapixel sensors, but differ in size and performance. While the Lito 1 is equipped with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, the Lito X1 relies on a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor. This enables a higher light yield and ensures better results, particularly in difficult lighting conditions.

The support for high-resolution images is particularly striking. Photos can be created with up to 8K, while videos can be recorded in up to 4K. The Lito X1 goes one step further and offers HDR video with up to 14 f-stops of dynamic range and 10-bit color profiles. This allows significantly more detail to be captured in bright and dark areas, which is particularly relevant for post-production and professional content.

The camera is supported by a range of intelligent flight modes. Functions such as ActiveTrack enable automatic subject tracking, while QuickShots and MasterShots automate complex camera movements. This makes it much easier to get started, as appealing shots are possible even without extensive flying experience. This is complemented by panorama and hyperlapse modes, which open up additional creative options.

DJI Lito series focuses on safety, long flight time and modern connectivity

In addition to the camera, DJI attaches great importance to safety and stability. Both models are equipped with an omnidirectional obstacle detection system that recognizes objects in all directions and actively flies around them. This system works even in poor lighting conditions and significantly increases safety, especially for inexperienced users.

The Lito X1 expands this system with an additional forward-facing LiDAR sensor. This ensures even more precise distance measurements and improves navigation in complex environments. This sets the model slightly apart from its cheaper counterpart and offers an additional level of safety.

The drones are also solid in terms of flight performance. With a maximum flight time of up to 36 minutes and a wind resistance of up to 10.7 m/s, stable flights are possible even in more demanding conditions. Data is transferred via WLAN 6, allowing files to be transferred at high speed. The Lito X1 also offers 42 GB of internal memory, making it easier to handle large files.

Conclusion on the DJI Lito series: Powerful entry into the world of drones

The DJI Lito series impresses as a well thought-out entry-level package with modern technology and attractive prices. The combination of simple operation, intelligent flight functions and a powerful camera makes the models particularly interesting for beginners in aerial photography. The DJI Lito 1 starts at 339 euros, while the Lito X1 is available from 419 euros. Both models are available immediately and position themselves as an attractive option in the growing market for entry-level drones.
