Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness at Disney+

On May 04, 2022, the latest Marvel movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness launched in theaters worldwide. Exactly seven weeks later, on June 22, it will find its way into the catalog of streaming provider Disney+.

After the official Marvel YouTube channel initially confirmed this for the U.S., we now know that we’ll soon be able to experience the superhero movie in our own four walls in Germany as well.

This makes the blockbuster one of the films that will find its way into home streaming the fastest. Why this is so, however, is unclear. It can’t be due to a lack of success, as the second Dr. Strange film grossed around 900 million US dollars at the box office.

It’s also interesting that Disney+ doesn’t charge any extra here. With past films, such as the live-action adaptation of the Disney classic Mulan, the streaming service initially charged an extra 21.99 euros before the film was included in the subscription for free three months later.
