Dreame A3 AWD Pro series: New high-tech robot mowers with 3D-LiDAR and all-wheel drive go on sale

With the Dreame A3 AWD Pro series, Dreame Technology is launching a new generation of powerful robotic mowers on the market just in time for the 2026 gardening season. The models are designed to maintain even large and complex lawns fully automatically – without the need for boundary wires or additional GPS poles. This is made possible by a modern sensor system, all-wheel drive and AI-supported navigation. The new series is aimed at users who want to maintain their garden as conveniently and precisely as possible automatically.

  • Wireless navigation thanks to OmniSense™ 3.0 with 3D LiDAR and AI vision
  • All-wheel drive (AWD) copes with slopes of up to 80%
  • Dual-blade mowing system with 40 cm cutting width and adjustable cutting height
  • Safety and smart features such as app live video, geofencing and obstacle detection

Dreame A3 AWD Pro series relies on intelligent navigation without boundary wire

The Dreame A3 AWD Pro series follows a clear trend in the field of modern robotic lawn mowers: the elimination of traditional boundary wires. Instead, the system uses a combination of sensors and artificial intelligence to automatically detect and efficiently mow the garden.

At its heart is the OmniSense™ 3.0 system, which combines several technologies. These include 360-degree 3D LiDAR sensors and a binocular AI camera, which together create a precise 3D map of the garden. On this basis, the robot can recognize lawns, identify obstacles and plan optimal mowing routes.

A major advantage of this technology is its reliable navigation even in difficult conditions. While many systems rely heavily on GPS, the Dreame A3 AWD Pro series works stably even in areas with a weak signal or under trees. According to the manufacturer, even narrow passages, shady areas or uneven terrain can be recognized and navigated without any problems.

The series consists of two models that have been developed for different plot sizes:

  • A3 AWD Pro 3500 up to 3,500 m² €2,599
  • A3 AWD Pro 5000 up to 5,000 m² € 2,999

Dreame thus covers both medium-sized gardens and extensive plots. Both variants use the same sensor and drive technology and differ mainly in the supported area size.

All-wheel drive, precise mowing and smart safety functions

A special feature of the Dreame A3 AWD Pro series is the integrated all-wheel drive with four hub motors. This design enables the robotic lawnmower to tackle slopes of up to 80 percent (38.7 degrees). Even smaller obstacles such as roots or edges with a height of up to 5.5 cm can be overcome.

A dual-blade system is used for the actual mowing. The two rotating blades provide a cutting width of 40 cm, allowing larger areas to be processed more quickly. The cutting height can be flexibly adjusted between 3 and 10 cm to accommodate different types of lawn.

Another feature is EdgeMaster™ 2.0, a technology for precise edge cutting. It enables the robot to cut lawn edges to a distance of around 3 cm, significantly reducing the amount of manual trimming that would otherwise be necessary.

Dreame has also integrated numerous safety functions. According to the manufacturer, the system recognizes over 300 types of obstacles, including garden furniture, toys, pets and people. These are automatically avoided.

The Garden Guardian system also offers several safety features:

  • Live video transmission via the app
  • Geofencing alerts in the event of unauthorized access to the garden
  • Lifting arm alarm in the event of tampering attempts
  • Pet protection zones and rest periods for animals
  • Theft protection with AirTag compatibility

The integrated 36-volt battery ensures long mowing times. If the battery level drops, the robot automatically returns to the charging station and then continues mowing.

Conclusion

With the Dreame A3 AWD Pro series, the manufacturer is launching powerful robotic lawn mowers onto the market, which are designed to impress with their wireless navigation, all-wheel drive and extensive safety functions. The OmniSense™ navigation system with 3D LiDAR and AI vision in particular shows how much garden robots have developed technologically. The models have been available since March 10, 2026. The A3 AWD Pro 3500 costs 2,599 euros, while the A3 AWD Pro 5000 is available for 2,999 euros. At market launch, there is an introductory discount of 300 euros until March 23, 2026.
