The eBay Kleinanzeigen trading platform continues to develop. Already in April, they launched the option to close buyers by invoice with the help of Klarna. Now, a new eBay Kleinanzeigen buy-it-now option is being added: “Buy Directly” allows a deal to be closed without negotiations and lengthy communication.
eBay Kleinanzeigen Buy It Now: New “Buy It Directly” Option
What is called “Buy Now” on eBay, goes by the name “Buy Direct” on eBay Kleinanzeigen. The new function is now launched and is aimed at private buyers and sellers.
The goal is to make trading even easier and faster, while minimizing communication between the two parties. It eliminates the need to negotiate price, shipping, payment options and more.
Specifically, this means that buyers accept a set price, pay for the item immediately, and communication is reduced. For the buyer, this means that after clicking the button, the address must first be entered.
After that you choose the shipping method and then you will be redirected to the payment methods. Here you select your preferred option and complete the purchase directly. The transaction via “Buy Directly” is of course binding for both seller and buyer and is considered to be the conclusion of a contract.
Buyers pay fees
For seller and seller, the new “Buy Direct” option of eBay Kleinanzeigen is free of charge. On the other hand, however, buyers will incur fees similar to those of the “Pay Securely” option.
Specifically, a flat fee of 0.35 euros is charged here, as well as an additional 4.5 percent of the price you agreed on with the seller.
These costs are mainly for security, because eBay Kleinanzeigen acts as a trustee if your order does not arrive or deviates significantly from the offer description. The system gives both sides an extra measure of security. If the payment is confirmed on the part of eBay Kleinanzeigen, the transfer takes place within 24 hours.
The new buy-it-now option is not intended to completely replace the classic classifieds, however, but is introduced as an additional option. You can decide for yourself whether you want to use the function at all.
eBay Kleinanzeigen continues to evolve
The feature is the next update in a series of changes to the platform, which will occur under a new name starting in 2024 after it splits from eBay. In July, they also announced risk-based two-factor authentication to provide more security for the trading platform.
