Versatile cooling for on the go

When it comes to modern energy solutions, EcoFlow has a surprisingly broad range of products, not only with power stations such as the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max(test | € 1,799.00 *). A few years ago, we were also able to get our hands on one of the manufacturer’s mobile cooling solutions with the EcoFlow Glacier(test). The competition, such as Anker, is not sleeping either and now has suitable alternatives to offer. Now another battery-powered cooling device from EcoFlow is coming onto the market.

The Glacier Classic is available in three sizes – with volumes of 35, 45 and 55 liters. The two larger models offer a dual-zone function that allows two temperature ranges to be used simultaneously. The temperature difference between the zones must not exceed 22 °C, which makes it possible to store drinks and frozen food at the same time, for example. The temperature ranges can be set between -20 °C and 20 °C. The zones can be adjusted in increments of one third, but do not necessarily have to be separated.

The cooler uses a compressor with R600a (isobutane) as a refrigerant and offers a fast freezing speed of 15 minutes. It is controlled via an app that enables various operating modes and the temperature history to be displayed. Power can be supplied via a plug-in power supply unit, USB type C, an on-board power socket or solar panels with a voltage of 11 to 30 volts and a maximum output of 110 watts.

Smart features and flexible power supply

The Glacier Classic is controlled via an app that can be connected via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In addition to temperature control, the app offers the option of choosing between different operating modes and viewing the temperature history. The power supply can be flexibly configured: In addition to mains operation, power can also be supplied via USB type C, an on-board power socket or solar panels with a voltage of 11 to 30 volts and a maximum output of 110 watts.

Conclusion

With the Glacier Classic, EcoFlow presents a well thought-out solution for anyone who doesn’t want to do without reliable cooling on the go. The combination of dual-zone technology, long battery life and smart controls makes the cooler a versatile companion for camping, road trips or use in mobile working environments. The Glacier Classic will be available in the USA from April 25, with prices starting at 799 US dollars for the 35-liter model. Early bookers can benefit from a discount of 100 US dollars in the first month.
