Conventional balcony power stations have their limitations – for example, limited feed-in power or the inconvenience of changing batteries. The STREAM series addresses these limitations with a sophisticated concept: an AI-supported balcony power station network. This networks and controls several batteries in the entire household fully automatically. This means that even appliances with high energy requirements can be supplied with solar power at all times – regardless of the time of day or battery position.
At the heart of this innovation is the intelligent control system, which coordinates and prioritizes all energy sources in the household. The AI decides independently when energy is stored, used or fed into the grid – depending on consumption patterns, the position of the sun and the electricity tariff. The big advantage: users don’t have to worry about anything, but benefit from maximum efficiency and minimum electricity costs.
According to the manufacturer, the EcoFlow app plays a central role in this. It offers functions such as AI-TOU (Time-of-Use), which automatically charges batteries at off-peak times and discharges them at peak times, as well as an AI power forecast that predicts generation and consumption with up to 94% accuracy. The Adaptive Energy Architect continuously analyses consumption patterns and optimizes system settings in the background – a real highlight for smart home enthusiasts.
Flexible system variants for beginners to power users
The STREAM series comprises four central components: STREAM Ultra X, STREAM Ultra, STREAM Pro and STREAM AC Pro – each designed for different user groups. The micro inverter with up to 1,200 W PV input is recommended for beginners. Those who already have a solar system, on the other hand, can expand the storage system modularly with the STREAM AC Pro, which is scalable from 1.92 kWh to up to 21 kWh.
The high-end STREAM Ultra and STREAM Pro models score points with all-in-one functionality, i.e. integrated storage and inverter in one device. Particularly impressive: the STREAM Ultra achieves a combined PV input of up to 2,800 W, which is more than sufficient even for larger households or intensive usage scenarios.
Another highlight is the 2,300 W dual-mode bypass AC output: this allows almost all household appliances – from coffee machines to air conditioners – to be supplied directly with solar power. The parallel feed into the grid and supply of appliances via direct connection ensures maximum flexibility.

Despite its advanced technology, the STREAM series remains extremely user-friendly. Installation is carried out without drilling or complex cabling: simply connect and solar power production begins. The design is compact, around 40 % smaller than conventional systems, and therefore also fits on small balconies or in urban apartments.
EcoFlow has also thought about safety: IP65 weatherproofing, overcurrent protection and whisper-quiet operation at just 30 dB guarantee reliable use – indoors and outdoors, in sunshine and rain.
Prices and availability of EcoFlow Stream
With the STREAM series, EcoFlow is setting new standards in home energy supply. AI-supported automation, intelligent storage solutions and smart app control make the system the ideal choice for modern, sustainable households. The system starts at €799 (STREAM AC Pro). It then continues with the STREAM Pro, which will cost €999. EcoFlow intends to charge €1,099 for the STREAM Ultra (or €999 during the promotional period until May 31).
