Ecovacs presents five new Goat robot mowers for the 2025 gardening season

Ecovacs is expanding its portfolio of robotic lawn mowers and is introducing five new models for the 2025 gardening season. The new devices in the Goat A and Goat O series offer innovative technologies for efficient and user-friendly lawn care.

Key features of the new Ecovacs robotic mowers:

  • Goat A3000 LiDAR: Utilizes LiDAR technology for precise navigation without external GPS signals. Designed for lawns up to 3,000 square meters.
  • Goat A1600 RTK: Uses RTK technology with its own GPS mast for precise positioning. Suitable for areas up to 1,600 square meters.
  • Goat O1200 RTK and Goat O800 RTK: Both models use RTK navigation and are designed for areas up to 1,200 and 800 square meters respectively. The O1200 RTK also has an electric cutting height adjustment.
  • Goat O500 Panorama: Does not require an RTK system and relies entirely on visual detection of the lawn. Ideal for smaller gardens.

Ecovacs has introduced two new models, the Goat A3000 LiDAR and Goat A1600 RTK, two advanced robotic mowers that use innovative technologies to revolutionize lawn care. The two models differ primarily in their navigation technology and maximum area coverage.

Goat A3000 LiDAR: Precision thanks to laser system

The Goat A3000 LiDAR uses the latest LiDAR technology, which enables precise navigation without radio masts or GPS signals. Instead, a laser system detects the robot mower’s entire surroundings. An additional AI camera ensures reliable obstacle detection, which guarantees efficient and safe lawn care.

The model is particularly suitable for large gardens, as it can easily cover areas of up to 3,000 square meters (maximum 6,000 square meters under optimal conditions). With its dimensions of 68 x 46 x 34 cm, the Goat A3000 LiDAR is compact, whereby the additional height of 34 cm is due to the LiDAR sensor.

Goat A1600 RTK: Perfect for medium-sized gardens

The Goat A1600 RTK uses RTK navigation with its own small GPS mast in the garden. This system, which is also used by other manufacturers such as Mammotion or Navimow, enables precise location determination. It is supplemented by an AI camera and 3D ToF sensors, which ensure safe navigation.

With an area coverage of up to 1,600 square meters (maximum 2,500 square meters), the Goat A1600 RTK is ideal for medium-sized gardens. Its dimensions of 68 x 46 cm are identical to the A3000 LiDAR, although it is slightly lower at 31 cm.

Common strengths: Mowing at the highest level

Both models are equipped with two slightly offset mowing discs that offer a cutting width of 33 cm. The cutting height can be varied between 30 and 90 mm, offering flexibility for different lawn types. The lateral clearance of just 5 cm allows precise mowing along edges and borders.

Ecovacs is expanding its portfolio with the new Goat O model series, which includes three innovative robotic mowers. With the Goat O1200 RTK, Goat O800 RTK and Goat O500 Panorama models, the series offers solutions for lawns of different sizes and requirements.

Goat O1200 RTK: Versatility for larger gardens

The Goat O1200 RTK combines precise navigation technology with flexible functionality. With RTK-based navigation, supported by 3D ToF and an AI camera, this robotic mower is designed for areas of up to 1,200 square meters (max. 1,500 square meters under optimal conditions). The integrated RTK mast ensures precise positioning, which enables efficient lawn care.

A highlight is the electric adjustment of the cutting height, which can be varied between 30 and 80 mm. The mowing width of 22 cm allows for precise work, while the compact housing with a width of only 40 cm leaves a lateral clearance of 9 cm for non-ground level boundaries.

Goat O800 RTK: The more compact alternative

The Goat O800 RTK is the more compact and less expensive version of the O1200 RTK. It also uses RTK, 3D ToF and an AI camera for navigation and is suitable for areas of up to 800 square meters (max. 1,000 square meters).

Compared to the O1200 RTK, this model does without the electric adjustment of the cutting height, but retains the same values for mowing width and cutting height. The smaller battery capacity is reflected in shorter working and charging times, but makes it an ideal choice for medium-sized gardens.

Ecovacs Goat O500 Panorama: Intelligent mowing without RTK

The Goat O500 Panorama is aimed at owners of smaller gardens with an area of up to 500 square meters. In contrast to the RTK-based models in the series, the O500 Panorama uses only visual navigation, as already used in the Goat GX-600.

This requires a clear visual demarcation of the working area, but enables simple and straightforward setup without additional hardware such as RTK masts. The model is particularly suitable for users who value intuitive operation and efficient maintenance of smaller lawns.

Conclusion

With the new Goat A and Goat O series robot mowers, Ecovacs offers a wide range of innovative solutions for different gardening needs for the 2025 gardening season. The combination of advanced navigation technologies and powerful mowing systems promises efficient and user-friendly lawn care. Prices are not yet available, but sales are scheduled to start on February 6, 2025. Further information can be found on the Ecovacs website.
