Elgato announces launch of Elgato Ring Light

Elgato launches Elgato Ring Light, a premium edge-lit LED panel. The panel has a diameter of 17 inches (44 cm) and operates on the basis of two light-scattering layers.

According to the manufacturer, the advantages include uniform illumination and a correspondingly harmonious surrounding of the face. Thus, the user certainly does not have to be annoyed by the creation of unattractive shadows.

Elgato Ring Light in detail

The Elgato Ring Light can be easily controlled via WLAN and app (both via PC and smartphone) and is designed to provide a high level of user convenience.

With its help, it is accordingly possible to meet high demands in terms of high-quality content. The total of 2,500 lumens can be dimmed and adjusted to the respective local conditions. The color temperature range extends to values between 2,900 and 7,000 K, so that no additional color filters need to be used. The technology used is also intended to prevent eye fatigue.

If you want to work a little more individually, simply use a telescopic rod and a 3D swivel mount and adjust both optimally to your needs. Especially practical in this context is the fact that the camera angle can be adjusted separately from the illumination angle.

Elgato Ring Light users who already use Multi Mount from Elgato can also combine both. A great option for all content creators who want to make their lighting even more professional while filming.

Costs, availability and Co.

The Elgato Ring Light is priced at 199.99 Euro. The corresponding Phone Grip costs 14.99 Euro and the Heavy Base 39.99 Euro. According to Elgato, availability is now guaranteed, but so far it doesn’t seem to have arrived in German shops yet.
