Elgato has unveiled the Key Light Air MK.2, the successor to its most popular creator light. The 15-inch panel, designed from the ground up, delivers up to 2,100 lumens of soft light, is powered entirely via USB-C, and can be controlled via touch, an app, or Stream Deck. What’s new with the Key Light Air MK.2?
The biggest improvement is in brightness: instead of the predecessor’s 1,400 lumens, it now delivers up to 2,100 lumens. The panel has also grown—from a square 205 × 205 mm to 319 × 207 mm, providing wider and softer illumination. Other new features include touch controls directly on the device, continuous USB-C power delivery, and a MagSafe ring on the back. The light now also transmits Wi-Fi on the 5-GHz band; its predecessor was limited to 2.4 GHz.
Lighting and Control
For lighting, Elgato relies on proven OSRAM LEDs with edge-lit technology, which distribute the light evenly across the entire surface. The color temperature ranges from a warm 2,900 to a cool 7,000 K; the output is flicker-free, and the color rendering index is over 94 percent (predecessor: over 92 percent).
Control is available in three ways: via the touch controls on the light itself (brightness, color temperature, and two presets); via the free Elgato Control Center app for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android—either via USB-C or Wi-Fi—or via the Stream Deck, with the Stream Deck+ being particularly well-suited for fine-tuning thanks to its rotary controls.
Power Supply and Setup
When connected to a computer via a single USB-C cable, the light delivers up to 400 lumens—which is sufficient for most desk setups. The full 2,100 lumens are only available with a 30-watt or higher USB-C PD power adapter or a MagSafe-connected power bank—no wall outlet required. The included mount clamps onto the edge of the desk (up to 6 cm thick), features a ball joint, height markings, and integrated cable management. The panel can also be mounted away from the desk using three 1/4-inch threads and the MagSafe ring.

Price and Availability
The Key Light Air MK.2 will be available on elgato.com in over 40 countries starting July 23, 2026; according to Elgato, authorized retailers will follow shortly. The MSRP is $139.99; a version that includes only the light costs $119.99. Two online store accessories are also available as part of a launch offer: the P30 Power Supply (a 30-W USB-C PD power adapter that unlocks full brightness and is included free with the purchase of the light) and the magnetic Focus Grid to reduce glare, available at half price.
