Magnetic palm rests in three formats
The new Thock Palm Rest V2 series comprises three sizes: a version for full-size keyboards, a TKL model and a version for 75 percent layouts. All versions are based on the same structure of supportive memory foam and a smooth PU leather surface which, according to ENDORFY, adapts to the shape and position of the wrists and is designed to keep them in an ergonomic position – regardless of whether the user is typing or playing. The full-size version measures around 442.5 × 72 × 18.8 mm, the TKL version around 359.5 mm in width and the 75 percent version around 325.6 mm, which means that each version can be placed in front of the respective keyboard size in a form-fitting manner.
The target group for the series are owners of wired and wireless Thock and Thock V2 keyboards, for which ENDORFY has designed the palm rests to be visually and mechanically compatible. The magnetic attachment allows the rests to be docked directly onto compatible Thock housings, whereby the keyboards themselves are already prepared for the use of corresponding magnetic mounts. At the same time, ENDORFY emphasizes the open design: Thanks to the near-standard dimensions and flat shape, the Palm Rests should also be able to be combined with many keyboards from other brands, as long as the width and layout are comparable – an approach that seems plausible with the published dimensions and rectangular shape.
Memory foam, PU leather and magnetic holders
Technically, all three models follow the same recipe: at the core is a high-density memory foam that reacts to pressure and body heat and thus adapts the contact surface to the individual wrist shape. The cover is made of PU leather, which according to the manufacturer is soft to the touch, provides even support over the entire length of the palm rest and is also more robust and easier to clean than real leather.
