Technical features of the Engwe Mapfour N1 Air
At the heart of the N1 Air is a carbon frame which, in combination with an aluminum fork, reduces the total weight to just 15.6 kilograms. Although it is not as light as an Urtopia Carbon One (Review | € 2,699.00 *), it is significantly lighter than most other competitor models. The low weight should not only make it easier to handle in city traffic, but also to carry the e-bike on public transport or in stairwells.
The N1 Air is powered by a Mivice M070 hub motor, which delivers a torque of 40 Nm. It is controlled by a torque sensor that precisely adjusts the motor assistance to the pedal force applied. Compared to its sister model, the N1 Pro, which is equipped with a mid-motor, the hub motor offers the advantage of lower weight and easier maintenance.
However, this places the bike’s center of gravity further back, which could affect the riding dynamics. The removable 360 Wh battery is inconspicuously integrated into the frame and enables a range of up to 100 kilometers depending on the support level. This makes the N1 Air ideal for longer commutes and extended tours.
Hydraulic disc brakes on the front and rear wheels ensure reliable deceleration. The 7-speed Shimano derailleur allows flexible adaptation to different riding conditions. In addition, the N1 Air is equipped with GPS tracking, which increases theft protection and allows the user to check the bike’s location at any time.

Price and availability
In terms of technical specifications, the Engwe Mapfour N1 Air is ideal for urban areas. You can currently buy the N1 Air at a pre-order price of € 1,299 (RRP: € 1,499). The scope of delivery includes an accessory package consisting of a luggage rack, mudguards and a bike stand. Delivery of pre-orders will begin on March 6, 2025.
