The eufy brand, which belongs to Anker, has introduced two new products. The eufyCam 3 is a new security camera with a high-resolution 4K UHD image, while the eufy HomeBase 3 is a smart control center for your security systems. It is stored locally on the integrated memory.

The anchor brand eufy continues to expand its security lineup. With the eufy HomeBase 3 and eufyCam 3, two new products were presented to the public at a launch event in New York. The new HomeBase 3 serves as the control center for the manufacturer’s security solutions.

It has a 16 gigabyte internal memory and thus saves the recording from the cameras locally in its own cloud. There is no need to upload to the online cloud, as is the case with most providers. This means that you do not have to pay any monthly subscription fees, while your videos and data are particularly safe locally.

The integrated storage can also be expanded with HDDs and SSDs thanks to a hard drive bay. A maximum of 16 terabytes of additional storage space is possible. The new HomeBase 3 is also supposed to be particularly smart.

Here eufy uses a new artificial intelligent with the sonorous name “BionicMind”, thanks to which the switching center should learn more and more independently over time.

“So it recognizes with 99.9 percent accuracy who belongs to the circle of acquaintances when walking on the property and reports unwanted visitors,” promises the manufacturer. In the coming months, already available eufy products are to be gradually added to the security cosmos of the eufy HomeBase 3.

eufyCam 3: New 4K security camera

Already integrated directly at launch is the new 4K security camera eufyCam 3, which is offered in two variants. As a model for indoor use (eufyCam 3C), and as a weatherproof and particularly robust outdoor model (eufyCam 3).

Thanks to the integrated solar panel, the eufyCam 3 can even be used completely self-sufficiently. The high 4K resolution of both models ensures maximum security by recognizing even the finest details. The camera offers 8 million pixels, an 8x zoom and an open aperture of f/1.4.

The high-intensity Starlight system provides the necessary view even in the deepest darkness and thus protects against danger. The night mode offers a display in color.

According to product details on the official website, the outdoor camera’s battery is said to last up to 1 year with a single charge. The eufyCam 3C is said to have a battery life of 6 months. Both models offer face and person detection, vehicle and pet detection, a built-in spotlight, and a wide 135-degree field of view.

Prices and availabilities

The two security solutions eufy HomeBase 3 and eufyCam 3 should be available immediately directly from the manufacturer and on Amazon. The cameras will be available for purchase in a bundle with the HomeBase and have a recommended retail price of 519.99 euros for the eufyCam 3C including HomeBase 3, or 549.99 euros for the bundle of outdoor camera and HomeBase.
