Feelbelt: Belt for haptic audio feedback at Kickstarter

The Potsdam startup Feelbelt, founded in 2019, has launched a kickstarter campaign for its product of the same name. The Feelbelt is a belt for haptic audio feedback.

Similar to SenseForce, for example, the Feelbelt focuses on converting audio signals into haptic feedback. This is intended to enable you to immerse yourself even deeper in games, music or films. Especially in virtual reality.

For this purpose, the Feelbelt transmits audio frequencies between 1 and 20,000 Hz to the skin using ten pulse generators. The sound feedback should thus come from all directions.

With our unique approach, we are revolutionising the perception and emotionality of sound and music. Our self-developed pulse generators make it possible for the first time to feel every frequency with the entire body. By activating another sensory organ, we create an experience of a completely new kind, especially in the gaming sector.COO and Co-Founder Felix Weiß

The device is connected via Bluetooth, WLAn or 3.5 mm jack cable. The device is controlled via app, where different modes for different applications are available. The app should be available for Android and iOS.

The Feelbelt is suitable for a waist circumference of between 70 and 150 centimeters, so it should fit almost every adult, but not children. The weight of the belt is under 400 g and the battery life should be 6 hours.

On Kickstarter the Feelbelt is available from 199 Euro, in retail shops 329 Euro are to be paid later. Currently, the markets targeted are Europe, USA and Canada. The Kickstarter campaign runs from 28.04. to 02.06.2020.
