Ficihp K2: Mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting and 12.6-inch touchscreen

With the Ficihp K2, we can expect an extraordinary mechanical keyboard. It features a 12.6-inch touchscreen, RGB lighting and offers RGB illumination.

Ficihp K2 in detail

After the extraordinary Ficihp K2 was already funded via Kickstarter at the end of last year, the mechanical keyboard will soon be coming to Germany. Of course, the most important feature marks the 12.6-inch touchscreen panel that takes up space directly above the keyboard.

It can be used as a secondary display for viewing the PC, smartphone or other platforms, but does not have integrated processors. The screen comes with a resolution of 1,920 x 515 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It also supports 10-point touch and is supposed to work without lag according to the manufacturer.

The K2 is connected via USB Type-C, but it also has a USB hub on the top, which can be used to connect two additional devices via USB-A 2.0. Of course, a colorful RGB lighting should not be missing, which has a total of 15 lighting effects.

Replaceable keycaps, mechanical switches in three types

Otherwise, the Ficihp K2 offers many features that you would expect from a modern mechanical keyboard. The included ABS keycaps are replaceable and can easily be replaced with higher-quality PBT keycaps, for example.

The keyboard is offered with three different mechanical switches from Gateron, which we already know from the NZXT Function (our review) or Logitech POP Keys (our review), for example.

Here you have a choice of linear red switches, tactile brown switches, and clicky blue Gateron switches. The keyboard itself is in a 65-percent layout, so it does without the Num pad, for example, but still offers the arrow keys compared to a 60-percent keyboard like the SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini.

The K2 measures 334.5 mm x 215.7 mm x 31 mm and weighs 1.36 kg. However, it can only be used with a cable, as the touchscreen would consume too much power for wireless use.

Price and Availability

The Ficihp K2 keyboard with touchscreen is already listed on Amazon, though without pricing yet. It is not yet clear when the keyboard will be available. According to the Kickstarter page, the MSRP is $399, which would be around 388 Euros.
