First info about Windows 11 came out unintentionally

Actually, the future of Windows was supposed to be revealed at a huge Microsoft event on June 24. Now, however, some info has already surfaced on the net, which could spoil the surprise a bit.

Screenshots are circulating

The first screenshots of Windows 11 are circulating on the Internet, with Microsoft planning to unveil the successor to Windows 10 in a big event next week. Initially, it was only screenshots that made the rounds, now there is apparently even a whole test build of Windows 11, via unofficial channels.

The circulating screenshots are of a pre-release build (build 21996.1) and first appeared on Baidu, before they were also Tom Warren of The Verge published more screenshots and also videos. The legitimacy has already been confirmed by Windows Central. It was possible to get to these screenshots due to the possibility of accessing the complete build 21996.1 through unofficial channels.

User interface

The user interface of Windows 11 looks very similar to that of Windows 10X, which was introduced by Microsoft in late 2019. Windows 10X, however, never appeared, or was completely canceled. Argued here with a design update for Windows 10. The so-called Project Sun Valley, perhaps it now still comes for Windows 10 or it was all along already Windows 11. That probably only Microsoft itself knows.

Event on June 24

The optics of Windows 11 is thus only times somehow clear, whether it becomes then however nevertheless which different and like also the other differences between 10 and 11 will look is so far unclear. Therefore, it is first of all to be patient and wait until June 24. With leaked screenshots, however, people’s curiosity can be aroused. So we will see what Microsoft has planned for its event.
