Fractal Design has introduced two new cases. With the Meshify 2 RGB and the Meshify 2 Lite, the case expert has two promising modifications to the already popular Meshifiy 2 in the pipeline.
Meshify 2 RGB
The Meshify 2 RGB is a high-performance case with a cool stealth design that can certainly be an asset to many PC setups. Its eye-catching exterior features a screwless, flush tempered glass. This allows for glimpses inside the case, which is especially worthwhile for fans of glowing RGB hardware. The top can be conveniently removed to provide high comfort for maintenance and cleaning inside. To keep the powerful technology inside from overheating, manufacturer Fractal Design relies on a refined airflow. Here, you can ensure maximum cooling performance thanks to the total of nine fan mounts (120/140 mm fans). Four Aspect 14 RGB PWM fans are already installed ex-works.
Not only beneficial to the airflow, but also to the appearance is the front fan mount. This provides for chic RGB effects. The same goes for the mesh design. Thanks to the air-permeable design, Fractal Design creates great ventilation properties on the one hand and good protection for the inner workings on the other. Ideally, the mesh front can be easily removed. This way, you can easily remove and clean the fans at the front if necessary. Since the front also serves as a filter, you can also easily clean the front itself. Fractal Design relies on nylon here. You can install up to eleven hard drives in the Meshify 2 RGB. For this, the case has enough space available for both SSDs and classic HDDs.
Moveable wall inside
A movable wall is available inside the case for special requests. This can be adjusted as desired. There is also flexibility in the position of the hardware. If you have unused fan positions inside, you can easily convert them into a place for HDD, SSD or pump thanks to the included multibracket. In general, Fractal Design seems to be going for a straightforward build and a lot of flexibility with the Meshify 2 RGB. The case supports radiators up to a size of 360 mm in the front, 360 mm in the top or 280 mm in the bottom. It also has room for even large motherboards up to 285 mm in size. It also leaves hardly anything to be desired in terms of connectivity. A total of three USB-C ports are located on the front.
Meshify 2 Lite
The Meshifiy 2 Lite is the second newcomer from Fractal Design. In a way, here you get a slightly weaker equipped version of the Meshify 2 RGB. The basic concept is almost identical. However, the four RGB fans that Fractal Design includes with its Meshify 2 RGB are not standard here. Instead, you have the choice of four pre-installed Aspect 14 RGB fans or three pre-installed Aspect 14 fans. The interior may not be able to offer the space of the Meshify 2 RGB, but it is still very generously designed.
Not only can a total of nine fans be installed here. On top of that, a motherboard with a size of up to 285 mm fits in the Meshify 2 Lite. Thanks to the two included brackets for two HDD/SSD and two SSD, up to four drives can be inserted. The interior can be designed comfortably thanks to the newly designed front. Finally, the manufacturer separates the I/O ports from the front itself here. This will especially please those who have not had much experience in assembling a PC setup.
Prices and availability
Both models are available in black and white respectively. The somewhat weaker equipped Fractal Design Meshify 2 Lite goes for an MSRP of 127.99 euros. On the other hand, those who don’t want to do without RGB here either will have to pay 149.99 euros. The Fractal Design Meshify 2 RGB, on the other hand, can be purchased now for an MSRP starting at 179.99 Euros.
