FRITZ!Box 7632: Gigabit speed on the DSL connection thanks to G.fast and Wi-Fi 7

With the FRITZ!Box 7632, AVM is launching a new high-speed router on the market that enables gigabit speeds on the DSL connection. Thanks to support for G.fast, up to 1 Gbit/s can be achieved via copper lines, provided the connection is upgraded accordingly. The package is complemented by modern Wi-Fi 7, 2.5 gigabit LAN and comprehensive smart home and security functions. This positions the FRITZ!Box 7632 as a versatile solution for high-performance home networks.

  • G.fast support with up to 1 GBit/s, Supervectoring 35b up to 300 MBit/s
  • Wi-Fi 7 (2×2) with up to 2,880 MBit/s (5 GHz) and 688 MBit/s (2.4 GHz)
  • 1 x 2.5 GBit/s WAN/LAN, 3 x Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0
  • DECT base, Smart Home, VPN, WPA3 and Mesh support

FRITZ!Box 7632: Gigabit speed with G.fast on the DSL connection

The FRITZ!Box 7632 supports all common DSL connections and thus covers a wide range of applications. While classic DSL connections achieve transmission rates of up to 300 MBit/s via Supervectoring 35b, the router shows its strengths especially on G.fast connections (212 MHz). With the appropriate infrastructure such as FTTB (Fiber to the Building), speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s are possible here. This is particularly relevant for households in which fibre optics have already been laid right into the building, but the last few meters are still implemented using copper.

For internal networking, the FRITZ!Box offers a 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN port and three additional Gigabit LAN ports. This allows NAS systems, gaming PCs or workstations to be connected with high bandwidth. External storage devices, printers or mobile sticks (5G/4G) can be integrated via the USB 3.0 port, which creates additional flexibility.

AVM also remains true to its approach when it comes to security: a stateful packet inspection firewall, WPA3 encryption, automatic updates and an integrated security assistant ensure a high level of protection. There is also full IPv6 support, VPN functions for secure remote access and differentiated parental controls with time budgets and filter lists.

Wi-Fi 7, Mesh and Smart Home as a central platform

In addition to the fast DSL modem, Wi-Fi 7 is the second core feature of the FRITZ!Box 7632. Up to 2,880 MBit/s are possible in the 5 GHz band and up to 688 MBit/s in the 2.4 GHz band. Thanks to multi-link operation (MLO) and mesh support, stable and powerful Wi-Fi coverage is achieved throughout the home. The Wi-Fi can be switched on and off flexibly by button, schedule or telephone, while separate guest access offers additional security.

The FRITZ!Box 7632 also acts as a smart home control center. Compatible devices such as radiator controllers or sockets can be controlled via the integrated DECT ULE base. The model also impresses as a telephone system with support for DECT telephones, IP/SIP telephony and an analog connection (FXS).

FRITZ!OS also provides functions such as media server, FRITZ!NAS, VPN, mesh management and regular feature updates. This keeps the system up-to-date in the long term and continuously expands its range of functions.

Conclusion

The FRITZ!Box 7632 with G.fast combines gigabit speed on the DSL connection with modern Wi-Fi 7 and extensive network and smart home functions. The router unfolds its full potential especially on FTTB connections with G.fast technology. Thanks to the 2.5 gigabit port, mesh support and high security standards, the model is suitable as a future-proof control center for sophisticated home networks. The FRITZ!Box 7632 is available now and costs 269 euros (RRP, as of 02/2026).
