Fujifilm instax mini Link+ brings creative instant printing features to your smartphone

Fujifilm is expanding its instax ecosystem with a new, particularly creative smartphone printer. With the instax mini Link+, the manufacturer is targeting users who not only want to store digital content, but also bring it to life as instant images. The new model builds on the familiar mini-Link series, but adds significantly enhanced app functions, new print modes and a stronger focus on design and preview. The instax mini Link+ thus positions itself as a bridge between mobile photography and analog instant photos.

  • New instax smartphone printer with extended creative functions
  • Several new print and preview modes in the instax mini Link app
  • Video frame printing, AR effects and collages integrated
  • Market launch announced for February 2026

instax mini Link+ focuses on creative print modes and intelligent previews

At the heart of the instax mini Link+ is the enhanced instax mini Link smartphone app, which is available free of charge for iOS and Android. Fujifilm has significantly expanded the range of functions and integrated several new print modes that are specifically designed for creative design. In addition to the familiar Simple Print Mode, which allows photos to be printed directly from the smartphone gallery, the printer now also supports content from external sources such as Pinterest. This makes it easy to transform inspirational images into physical instant pictures.

A special highlight is the new Simulation Mode. This makes it possible to visualize before printing how a photo will look later in the real environment – for example on a wall, on a shelf or on a desk. This creates a kind of digital preview that helps with the selection of motifs, frames and placement. This is complemented by the Design Print Mode, which has been specially optimized for detailed content such as illustrations, text or graphics and reproduces fine lines precisely.

The workflow has also been improved: with Multiple Print Mode, up to ten previously selected motifs can be printed in one step without having to wait between individual prints. Frames, stickers and text functions are available for additional customization, allowing images to be adjusted directly before printing. The instax mini Link+ thus clearly moves away from pure photo printing and develops into a versatile creative tool.

Video print, AR effects and new design as a clear differentiator

In addition to classic photos, the instax mini Link+ also supports video content. Using the video print function, a single frame from a smartphone video can be selected and printed as an instant photo. Especially for spontaneous snapshots or action clips, this opens up new possibilities for capturing the perfect moment. Fujifilm has also integrated an augmented reality function with instaxAiR Studio, which allows 3D AR effects to be added to the image before it is taken.

Functional extras such as remote control of the smartphone camera, collage prints of several images on one instax mini film and a selectable light or dark mode for the app are also part of the overall package. The printer itself is presented in a slim, mobile housing in black, which is complemented by an eye-catching orange accent. This makes the instax mini Link+ visually different from its predecessors and gives it a much more modern look.

Despite the extended functions, the basic concept remains unchanged: Printing is done on instax mini film, which is known for its compact formats and typical instant photo look. The printer is fully designed for use with smartphones and deliberately dispenses with displays or complex operating elements on the device itself.

Conclusion: instax mini Link+ adds creative control to instant printing

With the instax mini Link+, Fujifilm is launching a smartphone printer that goes far beyond classic photo printing. New preview, design and video functions make the printing process more predictable and creative without losing sight of ease of use. The market launch is planned for the beginning of February 2026. The recommended retail price is 149.99 euros. This positions the instax mini Link+ as a premium extension within the instax printer family.
