Garmin has already released the next beta update for the Instinct 3 series—just a few days after the last major update. This time, the focus is on a bug related to the Garmin Pay payment feature.
Garmin Update Shortly After Version 15.12
Even before the dust has settled on beta version 15.12 for the Instinct 3, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E, Instinct 3 Tactical, and Instinct Crossover AMOLED, Garmin is already rolling out beta version 15.13. Garmin never disclosed in detail exactly what new features version 15.12 brought compared to the older updates 15.11 and 15.08.
The new version is being rolled out automatically as an over-the-air update and, according to Garmin, is reported to have reached about half of all eligible watches within the first few hours. If you haven’t received it yet, you can trigger the download manually: To do so, go to the Settings menu on your smartwatch, select System, then Software Update, and choose “Check for Updates.”
Crash when adding a bank card fixed
In terms of content, Beta 15.13 introduces only one change compared to 15.12, but it’s a practical one: A bug that could cause the smartwatch to crash when adding a new bank card to Garmin Pay has been fully fixed. All models in the Instinct 3 series were affected.
