The new Gazelle Avignon C380 HMB Limited, which the manufacturer from the Netherlands has now unveiled, on the other hand, costs just under 4,500 euros. What’s in the Gazelle Avignon C380 HMB Limited

At first glance, the Gazelle Avignon C380 HMB Limited looks like many other city e-bikes. It relies on an unobtrusive and simple design, offers a low entry and does not look particularly striking in other respects.

However, the manufacturer promises convincing comfort and its most comfortable e-bike to date. Among other things, the relaxed, upright seating position, the suspension and the extra-wide tires are supposed to ensure this.

A powerful Bosch Performance Line mid-motor is used for pedal assistance, which calls up a torque of 65 Newton meters and accelerates the e-bike to a maximum of 25 km/h. This means that it can also be used in Germany. This means it can also be used on public roads in Germany.

The 625 Wh battery is also from Bosch and is said to allow a maximum range of 155 kilometers in Eco mode. In addition, there are three other operating modes in which the support is stronger, but also reduces the range. In Tour mode, a maximum of 95 km is possible, in Sport it is 70 km and in Turbo mode 65 km.

Stepless shifting and strong brakes

Features the Gazelle Avignon C380 HMB Limited is also equipped with a robust, continuously variable Enviolo gear hub, which allows shifting without intermediate steps and even when the e-bike is at a standstill. The drive is provided by a CDX belt from Gates. It does its job quietly and requires little maintenance.

The brakes were not spared either, so the city e-bike relies on Magura disc brakes, which provide excellent braking performance and are easy to control under all conditions.

The 28.6 kg e-bike relies on a robust aluminum frame, which is offered in six different sizes. High comfort is also promised by the 28-inch tires mounted on double-walled Ryde Zac 25 rims. The wide and soft Selle Royal Essenza Plus gel saddle also ensures a high level of seating comfort.

LED headlights with daytime running lights are also offered, which get a maximum of 70 lux brightness, at least at the front. In addition, there is a large LC display, also from Bosch, which informs about the support levels, range, battery life and much more. The display can also be easily removed.

Price and availability

The features lets the manufacturer in the city e-bike Gazelle Avignon C380 HMB Limited cost a whole 4,499 euros. The configuration and order is possible via the home page of the manufacturer, some size are currently, however, temporarily sold out, others have a delivery time of about 6 weeks.
