Nvidia is adding 26 games to the GeForce NOW library in August 2026. Eight of them will be available to stream starting this week, led by the co-op walking game *Big Walk* and the tactical role-playing game *Expeditions: Samurai*. The remaining 18 titles will be rolled out throughout the rest of the month, with the final new addition hitting the cloud on August 30.
There’s an extra treat on top of that: 15 games added in July are also now available in the library—including Halo: Campaign Evolved, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as well as Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2. If you missed last week’s GeForce NOW additions, you can find the rest there.

Shooter fans will likely have their eyes on Hell Let Loose: Vietnam on August 13, which relocates the large-scale battles of the WWII shooter to Southeast Asia.

The Game Pass lineup stands out: With Sandustry, High on Life 2, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, there are three new additions to Microsoft’s subscription service. So anyone who’s already a member won’t pay anything extra for these titles—just like with the ten games from the first Game Pass wave in August 2026.
QuakeCon 2026: GeForce NOW with 5K and 120 fps
Alongside the game lineup, Nvidia will be at QuakeCon in Grapevine, Texas, from August 6–9. The booth will feature the Ultimate tier of GeForce NOW with cloud performance on par with an RTX 5080—Nvidia will be demonstrating up to 5K resolution at 120 frames per second on an ultrawide display.
There will also be contests: Anyone who wins on-site in Quake III Arena with RTX Remix or in the DOOM: The Dark Ages challenge will take home a GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition. The modding competition, organized by GeForce Garage, will award prizes totaling $10,000. For anyone not in Texas, a livestream on Twitch will begin on August 8 at 11 a.m. PT (8 p.m. CEST), during which additional prizes will be raffled off.
Nvidia’s emphasis on the RTX 5080’s performance has a side effect for gamers: The cloud currently delivers a level of performance that’s virtually impossible to match with a desktop card at a reasonable price. The suspension of RTX 50 Super model releases due to expensive GDDR7 doesn’t make the subscription any less attractive for budget-conscious upgraders.
What Subscribers Should Keep in Mind
One point regularly gets lost in the monthly lists: GeForce NOW isn’t a Game Pass-style gaming subscription, but rather a streaming service for your own library. To stream a game from the list, it must actually be in your account on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, or Game Pass. So, for now, the 26 titles simply mean: These games are now cloud-compatible.
The subscription tier determines the image quality. Only the Ultimate tier utilizes RTX 5080-class hardware, thereby unlocking high frame rates, DLSS, and ray tracing. If you’d like to try out the service without committing to a monthly subscription, you can opt for a Day Pass for the Ultimate tier.
Conclusion
26 games in a month is a solid average for GeForce NOW, and the second half of the month is the more exciting part: The Sinking City 2, Mortal Shell II, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will all be available to stream on the same day they go on sale. That’s exactly where cloud gaming gets interesting—a Day One title with ray tracing can run even on a laptop that’s actually too underpowered for it.
The overall picture is a bit less impressive when you look at the titles that are missing. There aren’t any major summer releases this time around, but there are plenty of smaller Steam titles just waiting to be discovered. For Ultimate subscribers with a well-stocked Steam library, August is still a great month.
