GeForce Now: More publishers turn away

Nvidia’s game streaming service GeForce Now is still going crazy. Nvidia announced that games from other publishers will no longer be playable in the future. But at least new ones were added.

Starting April 24th, games from the publishers Codemasters, Klei Entertainment, Xbox Game Studios and Warner Bros. will no longer be playable via GeForce Now. This includes games like Dirt 3, Dirt 4, Dirt Rally 2.0, F1 2017, F1 2018, F1 2019, Don’t Starve, Cuphead, Minecraft, Middle Earth Mordor Shadow, Batman, and Lego. Games like Forza, Gears of War or Halo were not available before.

Newly added are more games from Ubisoft. From now on all Assasin’s Creed and Far Cry titles are playable, more Ubisoft games will follow.

Ubisoft fully supports NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW with complete access to our PC games from the Ubisoft Store or any supported game stores. We believe it’s a leading-edge service that gives current and new PC players a high-end experience with more choice in how and where they play their favorite games.

Other publishers such as 2K Games (Bioshock, Civilization), Activision Blizzard (Call of Duty, World of Warcraft) and Bethesda (Fallout, The Elder Scrolls) have been unavailable through GeForce Now for several weeks. This is probably due to the conditions Nvidia offers its gaming partners. Even if players still have to buy and own the games, the publishers want to earn some money. Nvidia only offers the necessary computing power to play the games.

GeForce Now currently supports the game clients Epic, Origin, Steam, and Uplay. One of the newest supported games is Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, which we already had in early access test. 30 of the most popular 40 games on Steam are playable via GeForce Now and Nvidia is working on making over 1,500 more games available.

The publishers currently turning away from Nvidia will surely come back as soon as a suitable deal is closed.
