The electric crossover SUV Genesis GV60, which marks the first pure electric car of the manufacturer, we have already presented to you in detail. As they now announce, the electric car based on the Hyunai Ionic 5 can now be pre-ordered in Germany. We have summarized all the info on the Genesis GV60 pre-order in this post.
Genesis GV60 pre-order starts from 56,370 euros
A few weeks ago, the official homepage said the GV60 would be “available in Germany from spring 2022.” Now we have spring and at least the pre-order of the electric crossover SUV is now possible.
At least 56,370 euros are due for the first pure electric car from Hyundai’s noble sub-brand. However, buyers will get a lot in return. Specifically, you get the GV60 Premium model with Sport package for the price.
It is equipped with all-wheel drive and relies on two electric motors (160 kW at the rear / 74 kW at the front). The GV60 Premium with Sport Plus package is considerably more expensive, starting at 71,010 euros. Here, two 160 kW motors and all-wheel drive are offered in each case, while a unique drift mode and a boost mode can call up an additional 40 kW of power for up to 10 seconds.
The entry-level Genesis GV60 Premium model with a 168 kW electric motor and rear-wheel drive, on the other hand, was not given a price. It is unclear whether the model will even make it to Germany.
On the other hand, common to all models are the exterior mirrors, which consist entirely of cameras. They show their image directly on displays embedded in the interior trim of the crossover SUV’s doors.
Up to 470 km range
With the announcement of the pre-order of the Genesis GV60 in Germany, the manufacturer has also finally given official details about the range of the models. According to this, the GV60 with Sport package has a range of up to 470 km, while the variant with Sport Plus package should still be able to reach 466 km. At a 350-kW fast-charging station, the battery is said to be able to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, but only if temperatures permit.
Nice detail: The center console of the GV60 features the so-called “Crystal Sphere,” which is an electronic gear selector visually reminiscent of a crystal ball. It provides information about the current traffic volume while driving and also generates mood lighting that illuminates the interior of the e-car.
The manufacturer itself writes: “The Crystal Sphere is not only a special eye-catcher, but also the emotional link between driver and GV60. As soon as the vehicle is ready to be driven, the sphere rotates so that the shift-by-wire element can be operated. This gives the interior a futuristic touch.”
Pre-order the Genesis GV60
The manufacturer does not mention further technical details of the Genesis GV60 so far. Pre-ordering is now available via the manufacturer’s website. A deposit of 1,000 euros is required for the non-binding reservation.
