Gigabyte: 3 new Aorus monitors for gamers presented

Aorus, Gigabyte’s gaming division, strikes three times. A total of three new monitors for demanding gamers are to be launched. The new additions range up to a screen size of 48 inches. The top model scores with highlights like a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an OLED panel that is supposed to come in 4K resolution.

OLED only in the top model

The eye-catcher of the three new Aorus monitors is of course the panel itself. Here, Gigabyte gives its gaming division high-resolution 4K panels that are supposed to score with a high refresh rate and detailed color fidelity. However, those who want maximum contrasts should focus on the top model right from the start. This is namely the only monitor in the lineup that offers high-contrast OLED. But not only PC gamers should enjoy the new devices. HDMI 2.1 is supposed to ensure that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners also get their money’s worth.

By name, the monitors are the Aorus FI32U, Aorus FV43U and the Aorus FO48U. The sizes can already be read from the designation. The three devices come in 32, 43 and 48 inches. Apart from the size, there are also similarities. All three monitors use a 4K resolution and HDMI 2.1. The two smaller monitors are ahead in terms of refresh rate with 144 Hz. The large top model offers “only” 120 Hz.

Technical details are still missing

Gigabyte has already presented the highlights of its new gaming monitors. However, the manufacturer did not go into too much detail. Thus, it still owes us detailed technical data. Accordingly, it is not yet clear whether the specs will actually apply to all three new additions or only to individual monitors. Since there are other attractive features in the fine print besides the high resolution and frame rate, the Aorus monitors sound extremely appealing.

Gigabyte has definitely thought of connectivity. Shown here: the Aorus FV43U (Image: Gigabyte)

For example, there is talk of a VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, which is supposed to ensure high contrasts. The response time of 1 ms and a coverage of the Adobe RGB color space of 99 percent also round off the positive overall picture. Above all, the sRGB color space is brought into focus with a coverage of 150 percent. For the DCI-P3 color space, the technical details also promise complete coverage.

Prices and availability

Gigabyte’s website talks about the new monitors launching soon (“coming soon”). However, you won’t find the three new additions at retailers yet. The manufacturer is also still keeping quiet about the prices. We remain curious and will keep you up to date.
