Gigabyte Aorus 17H: Gaming notebook with a lot of power presented

The PC experts at Gigabyte have announced a new highlight for gaming fans. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H gaming notebook is a powerful gaming setup for on the go. An Intel Core i7-13700H, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and a 17.3-inch display with a proud 360 Hz sound promising here.

Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers a proud 360 Hz

A look at the technical specifications of the new gaming behemoth from Gigabyte makes the anticipation rise. The design of the notebook is pleasantly inconspicuous for a gaming laptop. Especially those who often find the look of mobile gaming PCs too kitschy or clumsy will be pleased. The narrow display edges that nestle around the 17.3-inch screen can also score points. The keyboard, on the other hand, comes with fancy RGB lighting so that you can also gamble in the dark.

With a weight of 2.7 kg, the almost 3 cm thick notebook is quite portable. That is anything but self-evident in view of the display size. Speaking of the display. The screen offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Thus, the gaming notebook is not a marvel of technology when it comes to image sharpness. However, the display makes up for this with its refresh rate. An impressive 360 Hz should ensure that even lightning-fast moving images flicker across the screen smoothly and without distortions. While the manufacturer does not comment on the display’s maximum brightness, we at least know that it covers the sRGB color space 100 percent.

Gigabyte Aorus 17H comes with the latest CPU and GPU technology

The rest of the technical data can also convince. At the heart of the gaming notebook is an Intel Core i7-13700H. It is supposed to offer a maximum clock rate of 5.0 GHz. The power CPU is supported by 16 GB DDR5 RAM. The 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD is supposed to provide sufficient storage space. If that is not enough, you can use another flash storage in M.2 format via the second SSD slot. Possibly the recently presented Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD could be used for this?

The GeForce RTX 4080 from Nvidia is supposed to provide graphics power. In view of the powerful hardware components, the battery with a capacity of 99 Wh should not provide for too long wireless runtimes. However, that should not bother most people considering the size, since the notebook will certainly be used as a replacement for a classic desktop PC. The Aorus 17H is also impressive in terms of connectivity. Besides 1x USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, there are 2x USB-A, Mini-DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and an Ethernet port (2.5 Gbit/s).

Prices and availability

With the Gigabyte Aorus 17H (official website of the manufacturer), the manufacturer definitely has a hot iron in the fire. If you are interested in the promising gaming notebook, you can pre-order it now for an MSRP of 2,599.00 Euros.
