At first glance, the FO27Q24G looks the same, but technically it’s a step below. Instead of a tandem panel, it uses a 3rd-generation WOLED panel with MLA+—the same panel found in the recently introduced GO27Q24G. The result: “only” 240 Hz instead of 280 Hz, 1,300 nits instead of 1,500 nits, 98.5% DCI-P3 instead of 99.5%, and DisplayHDR True Black 400 instead of 500. It’s still a powerful monitor, but it doesn’t feature the tandem technology that was promised for both devices in some reports.

So if you specifically want the latest generation of panels, you’ll need to go with the FO27Q28G. The FO27Q24G is more of a slightly more affordable alternative for anyone who finds 240 Hz and 1,300 nits sufficient.

The timing is no coincidence. Nearly every monitor manufacturer is currently filling its portfolio with OLED models, from MSI to ASUS and Acer to LG and Samsung.
