Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition: Noble keyboard as a complete package

Manufacturer Glorious PC Gaming Race previously offered a fully modular gaming keyboard with the GMMK Pro, where the switches and keycaps can be easily replaced. The large GMMK model even won the Platinum Award in our review. With the new Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition, there are now all the advantages of the professional keyboard already pre-installed.

Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition in detail

The Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition offers the most comfortable entry into the world of custom keyboards imaginable. The complete package settles on a classy and high-quality black aluminum case and comes factory-equipped with lubricated Fox mechanical switches and durable PBT keycaps. Switches and keycaps can be quickly and easily replaced thanks to hot-swap.

The Pro Pre-Built Edition relies on a compact, 75-percent-TKL format with 84 keys and comes with some nice gimmicks. These include, for example, a rotary control for volume adjustment, as well as RGB lighting. Even a soft palm rest is directly included in the scope of delivery.

Design and finish of the GMMK Pro

The CNC-machined aluminum case features an integrated PCB with 5-pin socket for switches, which rests on a soft insulation made of foam. This is supposed to ensure quiet typing despite the robust metal case.

The so-called rotary encoder is found on the upper right, which combines a knob with a push button. In the default setting, it is used to control volume and multimedia functions, but can also be freely assigned with any other functions via Glorious-CORE software. If desired, the software can also be used to customize the function of any other button.

Glorious Fox Switches and RGB Lighting

The linear Glorious Fox Switches are factory-lubricated, offering a classic linear typing feel with minimal frictional resistance – comparable to red switches. Thanks to the hot-swappable PCB and the included switch puller, the switches can be replaced at will.

For the keycaps, the Glorious GMMK Pro Pre-Built Edition relies on white GPBT White keycaps made of PBT plastic, which are particularly durable and have a good grip. In addition, the keyboard features customizable RGB lighting that cloaks both the individual keys and the side of the case in the desired light.
