Glorious Model D Wireless: Wireless new edition of the gaming mouse announced

Cable off for the popular gaming mouse Glorious Model D. The lightweight rodent, which made a very good impression in our review about a year ago, returns in a wireless variant. The Glorious Model D Wireless relies on the same specifications and offers a convincing battery life, as well as an improved sensor.

Glorious BAMF sensor with higher resolution

Visually and under the hood, the new Glorious Model D Wireless hardly differs from its wired counterpart. What is new, however, is the sensor: the heart of the mouse is the high-precision Glorious BAMF sensor designed in cooperation with PixArt.

With a maximum resolution of 19,000 DPI and the high sampling rate of 400 IPS for accelerations of up to 50 G, the sensor is ideally equipped to reliably process even fast mouse movements of low-sensitivity gamers. The wired Glorious Model D still used the Pixart PMW 3360 with 12,000 DPI.

At the same time, the Glorious Model D Wireless comes with a low lift-off distance of 0.7 – 1.7 mm, which should guarantee that there is no unwanted mouse movement. The maximum polling rate is once again at the usual 1,000 Hz.

Design and battery life

In terms of design, the manufacturer once again relies on a honeycomb-textured surface, which allows for a light weight of just 69g. The mouse has a total of six programmable buttons and is equipped with RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors and many different effects.

The Glorious Model D Wireless uses a 2.4 GHz wireless network. The battery of the lightweight gaming mouse is supposed to last for a whole 71 hours and can also be charged during gaming via the two-meter-long braided USB-C cable. In addition, the manufacturer ships the mouse with a receiver extension adapter, thanks to which the dongle can be positioned to be in close proximity to your Glorious Model D Wireless.
